OT: Collectors? Maybe so. Not likely to be spotted.

Gee Kis, how'd you find this?!

Looks interesting, but the handle is quite odd. Gotta give the guy a break on the "hunting knife" description. Give him credit that he didn't say anything about "torture knives" or a requirement that squirrel hunters cut themselves whenever they draw the knife w/o scaling a bluegill or whatever.

Hmm. Wait a second. Where are the torture knives?

FallingKnife?

I wander the internet seeing things I can't buy and learning things I don't know. I will never be done. :)

But, some of this stuff is just neat to look at, eh?

Kis
We have so much.

Ahh, yes. I often saw such handles on knives for sale in ports all along the coast of Nepal. Never saw them used for hunting, though. I believe the locals used them to bring in the harvest from the peanut trees. Very important export item, dontcha know. :p

Yep, sure is and if it weren't for you Kis we would miss them. I for one appreciate the listings on eBay even if I am too chicken to buy from them.:(

I'm thinking this khuk looks Indian, anyone else think so or maybe confirm what I'm thinking?

Gimme a little credit Yvsa. :D There ain't no sech thing as a Nepali coast, either. ;)

No Nepali coast? Next time you'll tell me there's no Swiss Navy. :(

I sent for close-up pics. Cord is wrapped around the handle because the handle is cracked. Bolster is 100% covered with bright brown rust and blade shows very dark, although I can't make out any pits. Cold be a post-independence Indian military job.

Tom
