Can anyone here help me figure out why I can't send pictures in my emails. I can't forward any emails and I even tried to cut and paste to a whole new email and that didn't work. Sorry to those who recieved the little red X's. I really thought it was a nice statement to remember our guys with.

Maybe I'll put it on a thread here.

Usually the image is not properly embedded in the document. What mail reader program are you using?

ps: You need to format your mail program to send in HTML...

I"m supposed to have HTML on it says. Where do i look to see what a mail reader program is?? I'm using yahoo and gmail and neither will let me send. This just started a couple months ago when I did the recommended updates thing.

Thanks for your help.

Gin if you have XP as your operating system you probably have Outlook Express for an email program. That's the one usually hooked up with Internet Explorer that comes with Windoz XP.

My daughter downloaded her Office 2000 programs on my computer which gives me Outlook for an email program that uses Office Word for the email editor I haven't looked back!:D
I had the same problems with Outlook Express you are so I don't know how to help you.:(

I tend to like Mozilla Firefox for my browser and Mozilla Thunderbird for my e-mail. Faster, cleaner & leaner, less susceptible to viruses, etc. If Mozilla is good enough for the head of Microsoft's Security Division, well, 'nuff said. And they're free downloads.

When I send graphics, I use the e-mail menu <Insert> <Graphics, Image or Picture> option, rather than drag & drop from the file manager. I also resize images to a manageable file transfer size like 600x400 pixels (also, the images are easily viewed on screen without scrolling). Some ISPs, like Hotmail, don't like, or handle, large files or attachments very well, or at all. I also generally limit one e-mail to about 3-4 pictures and send in HTML format.

how are you attaching the images, Gin?

Are you using the "Attach" button in Yahoo?

Also, check your antivirus settings in Yahoo, Gmail and your computer. Some have a setting to not allow attachments because of potential viruses (for incoming or outgoing). Turn this feature off.
