After qualifying a class a little while back, one of my buddies brought out his S&W .44 Magnum.

I was able to catch some neat muzzle flashes, including the following fire ring -

Later I got this - I use this picture to show students why you don't want to put your fingers out by the cylinder to barrel gap...

In this picture, you can see the powder granules burning and flying out - always wear eye protection!

Fire ring pic is super cool and rather spooky! Just wait until I get that .38 super!
 
I enjoy shooting my .44 at the indoor, dimly lit range, but it seems to piss everyone else off!
