OT Dead man found

On the bright side, he probably has a great credit rating!

My problem with these sorts of posts though, is that I never seem to stop reading in time: Woman Admits to Biting Off Boyfriend's Tongue

This is not too dissimilar to the recent death of my martial arts instructor.
There is such a thing a being too alone.
Even if only out of respect for your neighbors, you need to keep in touch with your family, even if you hate them, so that somebody can reach them when you have a heart attack or something like that.

Well said, Danny.

On a more irrelevant note, I wonder if his estate gets refunded two years worth of payments?
Maybe the condo place will say; "hey, we get paid for occupancy. Doesn't matter what does the occupying."

munk

Yea that is sad and in many ways. His family didn't care enough to check on him once in a while is what gets to me.:(

Like Nasty I kept reading and what really disturbed me was the 8 year old boy being cuffed and hauled in for fighting. :grumpy: That just plain sucks!!!

Why? So they can celebrate your demise and fight over your stuff?

No. You need to stay in touch so some person you may barely know doesnt have to be burdened with your dying and death needs.
Your death will create burdens.
Your family will need to bear them. If there is no family, the burden will fall upon a neighbor or friend.

That's only if you *see* it as a burden. If you change your perspective it becomes an *honor*. It happens all the time on battlefields. In the military it's known as an *Honor Guard*.

I think you guys know what I mean.
the honor guard doesnt get called by the nurses in cardiac care asking if the patient left any instructions concerning DNR or "vegatative state" type questions.
Questions like " what is is real name?"
anybody know where he lived?

It's just something that family needs to do.

Similar thing happened about a mile from me two or three years ago.
Mail carrier noticed his mail was not being picked up out of his mail box. After some time of trying to stuff mail in the box, she asked the County Mounties to check on him.
He had been dead for about a month. He lived in a domed house set back off the road about 100 yards. Guess he didn't have any friends or relatives to check on him.

Regardless of how long you have been dead, who disposes of the carcass, or how they do it, you are still just as dead, and none of it makes any difference, except to the living.
