Uncle Bill if you need to supplement your enzyme situation then take a look here:

http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/enzymes.htm

I use their 100% pure coconut oil and their enzymes and like the results.

I was using their enzymes for some acid reflux problems at night until I discovered, by accident-- that several Nabisco Ginger Snaps work perfectly.

4 or 5 snaps after supper and no more burning esophagus or burping up acid at 2:00 a.m.

It might take a couple of weeks for the full effect to be realized

I found that if the ginger snaps didn't have a slight burn to the mouth then they don't work :)

You can do the same thing with ginger tea when you can't get the snaps.
A 1/4 teaspoon, or a little more, It Is Hot, of ground ginger, hot water, and sugar or honey to taste and your home free.
Barb's Ob-Gyn recommends this to her preggie ladies for stomach upset but it works for men too.:p ;) :D

My mother-in-law couldn't understand what a Ginger Jar was doing in our kitchen when she came by one time. My wife eventually told her: " Mom; that's a ginger jar. " She (MIL) said: " Yes, hon, I know - but what's it doing in the kitchen? " " There's ginger in it, Mom! "

Kind of like using your garage to park your car in. Nobody would ever suspect it!!!
:D :D :D

did you ask where she expected you to keep it?

I guess there are just a few things new under the sun and I thought I'd made an original discovery.

I was already looking for property to start a ginger farm--Oh well :D

Powdered ginger in tea...(plain ole generic black pekoe--tagless) with sugar is like a nice new hot drink. Can be added to coffee too, but that's kind of a sacrilege.

If you have access to an oriental/herbal store, the ginger they sell there is an entirely more delightful experience. Much zestier than chain stores...or big market spice shelf stuff.

It's good for you too? Cool.

Gaviscon and Nexium work for me as well as following the proper dietary guidelines.

Elevating the head of your bed also works well.

Thanks for info. I'm going to get some stents installed June 8 which should open up the ducts so I'll be getting my own enzymes again and won't have to take pills or anything else.

Ginger is good stuff, alwso useful for blood pressure, being a diuretic(and an ingredient in A1 steak sauce, near as I can tell. They don't list it, but if you take a ginger capsule, which is way I"ve taken it, and acutally break it open and taste it, such as to make soem fried rice, you can definitely tell that that same taste is in A1

I have suffered from acid reflux for many years. Been taking Prilosec, (any drugstore), and absolutely no problems. No indegestion.

This stuff is a miracle!

Gee. I didn't realize I was so useful :D .....blood pressure and diuretic.....Do the cookies help all that stuff too?

Actually I use ginger ale for tummy problems for my kids and find it helps. I've graduated to the prilosec necesity myself. Seems to work OK. Although the other stuff I had in Omaha was better. This is what the VA here uses.
