Driving Test Question:

You are driving along a two-lane road with a "No Passing" sign posted. There are no vehicles in front of you but you come up behind a bicycle rider. Do you follow this slow-moving bicycle rider for the next 2 miles or do you cross the double-yellow line and pass?

a.) Remain behind the bicycle rider and wait for the "No Passing" zone to end.

b.) Cross the double-yellow line & pass the bicycle rider.

You make the call.

Click on the attached picture for a graphical representation of the situation.

Regards,

Norm

I need to sell everything and get over to that country immediately!

Somewhere in Scandinavia, where my foolish Great, Great Grandparents were idiotic enough to leave 130 years ago...!

ALLOWED to stay behind?

It is a biological imperative!

(some aspects of getting old are much less enjoyable than others.)

TEchnically, you cannot cross the line and pass. The bicycle is supposed to move over and give you right of way. Since he will not, you accelerate the vehicle into him, leaving the twisted wreckage behind you, and are able to continue your route without having violating the law.

Oh Ok- just saw the photo. Well, we can't leave that wreckage behind us, can we?

Maybe we could just sort of *lightly* clip her, then take her home and nurse her back to health and keep her like we used to do with stray dogs!

Um...wait...there are laws against that...

You know, even in a minor traffic accident it is prudent to exchange names, phone and licence numbers with each other- in case something comes up and you need to talk to her later.
