After almost three weeks since tropical storm/hurricane Jeanne passed through our island on September 15th, today my phone line is finally working again. Thank God no deaths directly related to the storm in PR and only minimal damage from wind gusts, but a lot flooding in low areas. I hope that our friends in FL are doing ok, and my prayers go out to the people of Haiti (thousands dead or missing from Jeanne).

I will be trying to catch-up here in the Cantina in the next few days, and I hope everyone is doing fine.

Good to have you back safe and sound Jose!:D Jeanne was a real Bitch warn't her! :(

Jose, when it floods in PR, do you get to see poisenous snakes running for the high ground?

Thanks Yvsa. I would say that this storm behaved like a “drunken” bitch; it wobbled allover the place, even making a complete loop before hitting FL.

Glad you're OK, Jose.

Lot's of opportunity for chopping?
Not much chopping to do, only a couple of trees here and there. I only got to use my 17” villager AK only once in my parents house to chop a small tree that took out part of a fence.

Fortunately we don’t have poisonous snakes in Puerto Rico. The only native snakes live in the entrances of cave systems up in the mountain range.
