I know this belongs in the Knife Law forum, but I don't seem to be getting any answers to my question there. My son leaves for St. Pete, FL on Friday, and as he generally carries a pocket knife, I was wondering whether there were any laws he should be aware of. Thanks for your help.

Not a problem in Florida (unlike other states like CA where folks can't be trusted to act responsible, just kidding, don't flame me all you CA people, it just your 2" blade length rule for auto's tickles me). If he is going to take it to college get the rules and follow them. There is no sense getting booted out for something a dumb as carrying a small pocket knife.

Here is a link to state laws:

Be sure to take some sunscreen!
