Big fighting going on right now in Najaf. Let's all say a little prayer for them that they come home safe.

bad stuff going on over there right now. I wake up every morning grateful for those serving right now.

Please include in your prayers one SEAL very special to Nancy and I, her cousin Dave Hall. We got an email today from Dave late last night saying he was on his way home. He was wounded yesterday somewhere around Baghdad, and is on his way first to Germany for initial surgery then on home stateside for further reconstructive work. He told his mom his knee will do a 360, so he must have gotten hit pretty hard. He said he wasn't shot, and also said the team members with the "really serious" wounds were flown out yesterday. Makes us think they got blown up. Dave has been a SEAL for 15 years, and has seen action in Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, and a few more places he just simply doesn't mention. This guy's a warrior.

These men are in serious need of our prayers, and they have some serious gratitude for them. The final line of Dave's email was, "Thanks for all the prayers, they worked."

I hate war. I hated people my age dying in 'Nam and I couldn't get in the service. I hate that now those who fought in 'Nam have to watch their kids go off to war again and go through that terrible worry. "the horror"

Thanks for letting me vent. God protect those young people.
