I have a MP-5 version GSG and it is great.

I had a STG-22 and it was really cool, but a friend of mine traded me out of it, I have thought of getting another .

with that said I have about 5 10/22's :) Ruger makes a great little rifle.

I had a 10/22 SS and sold it, like a fool! I was going to get another but the Ruger is way more than the GSG!
I just ordered the STG-44. I found an insanely good price too! I love the original STG-44 and this is as close as I'll get.
Thanks, men.

I had a few gsg guns awhile back "before 22 ammo got hard to find" and they were pretty good. I did not have the model you are looking at but the rifle and handgun i had both heavily preferred CCI minimags and the winchester super speed stuff in the 100rd plastic red packs. Didnt have much luck with bulk ammos like the 333 or 500 packs. Everything remington I tried just plain didnt work. As long as you feed them decent or good ammo and dont use the cheap end stuff you'll be fine. With the right ammo i went hundreds on hundreds of rounds with maybe 1 or 2 problems along the way. Now that 22 ammo is trickling back in I might grab one of those st44 22's for myself :D

Thanks, man.
I stocked up on decent .22 ammo years ago. A lucky move.
lmk if you get a STG-44.

The GSGs that i have owned have all worked great. The problem is that they were all apparently worth more to some of my buddies than they were to me. Everytime I got one someone just had to have it.

my favorite .22 I had was my 10/22 wearing the red jacket firearms p90 stock but luckily I got talked into selling that before the big scandal :-x

I've been looking at the st-44 youtube vids all day I'm pretty much ready to pull the trigger "pun intended" in a few weeks "when I get paid" once I figure out a way to buy it without it being noticed on the joint accounts... I don't want to be murdered in my sleep

unlike most people around where I live buying 22lr just to resell it on gunbroker at 2x the price I actually shoot my shits so I got 2100 mini mags in the stupid troy landry "choot em" packs, 400 winchester super x , 500 winchester super speeds that I've been accumulating whenever it's in stock .

Me and my kids enjoyed shooting my GSG MP5 just plinking. The only problems I had was the plastic on it was cheap not at all like the Hk uses, also with one pin holding the stock on it wobbles and is not solid. Also weighed a ton, was fun for a little while but eventually everyone got tired holding the thing. Also had to do some mods to make sure it didn't break. Then got some letter in the mail from the NRA saying it was illegal in the set up on the faux silencer , and to send it back for a free replacement part. I said screw it and just sold it. If you decide to get one remember they weigh a ton, And everyone will come out with mods that you will want and the next thing you'll know you got 700.00 in a 22.

Thanks for the input.
Here's why I got this rifle; 1) I needed a rifle. :D 2) Made in Germany. 3) An insanely good price. 4) I love the STG-44. This rifle was the first so-called, "assault" rifle.

4 Very good reasons to purchase it.

I don't have a pic of my GSG but here's a pic of some really good 22 Ammo you should acquire if you ever see it.
