Hi everybody. I'm back in my beloved republic of Texas. Rolled in around 0500 and slept 'til around 1400, so I'm fresh as a daisy, a somewhat stiff daisy after that 18 1/2 hour drive.

Had a great visit with family in Florida, and while I was there went out to the Blount Island port and rounded up 13 of my tactical vehicle assets redeploying from OIF. Good thing too, they'd have wound up over in Fort Polk, Louisiana if I hadn't showed up and got 'em squared away.

Y'all might be thinking the Duck's lost his mind, but he hasn't. That "twelve inch" Villager I sent him taped out to 13 + inches, so he can enjoy a small and useful khuk without that 12 inch stigma that seems to distress him so greatly. Ain't them little Villager AK's great? I used mine in Florida to prepare a nice big old pot of chili, and my whole family was fascinated watching me slice and dice with that booger.

Anyhow, good to be back, "be it ever so humble....". Hope all is well with everybody, and hope God is watching over our guys and gals overseas. Right now my belly's growling like an alley cat, and I know a pit barbecue joint that cooks beef brisket so good it'll make your tongue slap your head off. Ahhhh Texas............

Welcome back Sarge. Always a good feeling to be home. One of the guys who deployed with the Army Reserve Unit here just called about doing familiarization trips with me. Should be fun to hear some stories. Good to see the guys and gals back and will be praying for the ones still there!

Glad to have you back. Hope you had some good seafood while down by the water.

That is a long drive to pull in one haul.
I'm glad you could spend the time with the family.:)
