one of my favourite holidays, this will be a first as a married Joe.

I'll be having full turkey dinner tonight courtesy of Butterball.

Enjoy the holiday boys and girls!

:D :D :D

Didn't know you were from Canada, Dave. Happy Thanksgiving indeed! Too bad I have to work today, and thus, miss my turkey dinner... Oh, how that peeves me.

You Canadians. Don't you know Thanksgiving isn't for another month and a half?:D Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian brothers and sisters:) How many of you guys are going to use a Khuk to cut up the bird?

Happy Thanksgiving, Dave...!

I agree, Thanksgiving is the best one.

Great memories for me. In early divorce days, I got "custody" of the kids for the Thanksgiving holiday. :)

Determined to prove my worth, that first Thanksgiving I prepared dinner for my 6 and 8-year old daughters and myself. It included:

One 25-pound turkey;

dressing with gravy;

mashed potatoes;

sweet potatoes;

cranberry sauce (2 kinds);

oven-fresh biscuits;

olives, celery, radishes...all artfully carved for eye-catching beauty;

Full-dress table setting;

and, of course, eggnog.

The two kids, skinny little Irish moppets, sat down, looked at this ponderous display of dad-compensation excess, and said:

"We need guests." :D

and so, for subsequent Thanksgiving holidays, we always invited guests...from other kids from school, to aging bachelors in the apartment complex.

There will always be a sweet spot in my heart for Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the invitation Dave...but you forgot to post directions to your house! I'll bring the cranberries...

My favorite meal of all times has to be the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, and I'm unable to travel to the U.S. in November. :grumpy: Italians prepare turkey in a different way, and have no idea what they're missing when I try to explain American style stuffing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, etc. To further explain the joy of making turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce sandwiches for the days following Thanksgiving would be equally futile. :rolleyes:

<yawn> <waking up>

WHAT!! I missed Turkey Day?? Whut happened? What month is it? :confused:

<mumble>...damned meds....need adjusting again....<mumble>

It's alright, Semper. Apparently we're all going to Dave Hahn's place for turkey dinner.
Someone did ask, "Who is going to bring the Biker?"

well come on the hell over boys. thanksgiving in the middle of the city on a highrise is quite the sight.

afterwards we'll go out for some cognac and cigars where it costs 15 bucks just to use the elevator to get to the club floor.

;)

I think I want a job as elevator attendant. Put in a good word for me.
