This is my first post since becoming a Gold member ! I spend as much time as most Hogs on here so its just natural I should pay my way :)

Two saturday mornings back I was awoken to the sound of a chainsaw. My neighbour's been promising to cut down some trees that are blocking my view of the Alps and Lake Geneva and the big day had arrived. The guy he got to do the job was a real pro and absolutely awsome to watch. He moved through 2 spruces, a larch and a large beech between 8:00am and 3:00pm. I offered up my FFBM but he just gave me a dubious look and carried on with the job ! It was a cold and foggy day, here are some pics of the action.

So two weeks later the snow is gone and the fog has cleared. I feel as though we have picked up te house and moved it. The view has really improved and we have so much more light. That's the Mont Blanc out there, Europe's tallest at 4807 meters or 15,781 feet

And this one was taken yesterday in better conditions

Great pics and property!!

Just out of curiosity, how did you get your neighbor to agree to cut down his trees like that? Did you pay for it?

In the States here, you would have to be almost brothers to get someone to cut down trees on their property for your enjoyment!

Well actually those trees have been dumping their stuff on his roof and degrading the house so he did it out of necessity but the other neighbour to his left has sworn that his tree will be outliving him. Actually there's some hope cause he is getting pretty aged :D People just love to have their trees behind them !

The Larch.:D

Nice pics brother! Beautiful digs you have there.

WOW, thats a beautiful view! We need him to come down to Tucson, AZ, and cut a couple of trees that are blocking some of our view of the Santa Catalinas.

Pazzo, its Mont Blanc. Thanks for all the comments Hogs and yes make your neighbour happy ...cut down a tree or two or on the other hand if he happens to be one of those cranky sorts..well then plant one maybe :D

You know I live in Alaska, and I to see that every day(mtns & lakes), but there is just something about SWITZERLAND that's magical. Thanks for the beautiful pics.
