Why is Blazing Saddles so stinkin funny????

Even the "family" version still cracks me up...

Definitely one of my favorite all time comedies. :thumbup::thumbup: Pretty much makes fun of everybody... No holds barred!
 
I tell ya... In the age of Extreme political correctness Blazing Saddles is a great refresher from the ordinary. That movie could NEVER be made today.

Funny little policy of mine... when dating a new girl... I use Blazing Saddles as a bit of a "test". If they can't handle a little off-color humor then they don't stand a chance around me and my buddies! ;)

It is therefore... declared by me... that

BLAZING SADDLES IS A GREAT DATE MOVIE! :thumbup::thumbup:
 
HAHAHA!!

I wish I had done that!! But thank God my wife has a similar sense of humor to mine. I tested her out on our first date with a Sushi Dinner, and a guy-ish movie; Men In Black.

She passed with FLYING COLORS! :thumbup:







Just gotta figure out how to get her to NOT be afraid of my knives.... :o
 
And, of course, the classic campfire + beans scene! Halarious!! "That's HEADLEY!!!" :D
 
I agree with kdstrick. Blazing Saddles could not be made today with all of the "Political Correctness" BS.

My favorite part of the movie.

Mel Brooks lost it along the way somewhere, the stuff he put out in the 90s just sucked. The 70s was his hayday though.
