My cute little wife last night asked me this question, "Honey, would you like some tea?" She has made me tea many times before. Tonight, however, would be different from the rest. This would be the first time that she made gave me fully caffinated tea before bedtime, heavily steeped green tea with honey and lemon. It was so good, and we had some good conversation, as our little children slept. Then we went upstairs to go to sleep.

Later, 3:30 in the morning, I'm waiting for my eyelids to get droopy to no avail. :D What a feeling, waiting to go to sleep, knowing today was going to be a long day.

Gotta have a sense of humor.. :)

for some reason I can drink lots of coffee with no effect but if I overdo tea I simply can't sleep. I guess the alkaloids in tea affect me more -- tea has more than just caffeine, it also has theophylline which is quite a powerful diuretic and raises the heart rate among other things.

I do love green tea. I drink two large cups every morning. I drink Lung Ching, aka Dragonwell, high grade from China. It is such a fine tea...

I am a caffeine addict, and drink coffee every morning, with green tea later in the day.
I have a cup of Chineese green tea next to me right now.
I can not sleep if I drink coffee after 6pm, and I try to stay away from tea at night as well.
Strong coffee has more caffeine than green tea, so it must be the other ingrediients that do it in the tea.
