Looked it up and it appears now to be a Spiegal's / Eddie Bauer type outfit.

Can any Canadians tell where to buy stuff for re-enactment gear? Stuff for rendezvous, so on? The old type blankets?

Little Bro, Crazy Crow Trading Post @ http://www.crazycrow.com , think that's the right URL, has the old time Hudson Bay blankets if I'm not mistaken. At least they used to have them.
Seems to me they come in colors and have the "beaver stripes" in black along one edge and corner.
My sis and her new mate got a nice blanket for their wedding ceremony. I'll ask them where they got it and let you know. It was white with bands of color maybe 8" wide but I didn't look to see if it had the beaver stripes.

Edit: URL was incorrect but is fixed now, or should be anyway.

Saved you a search Bro.:D ;) Here they are. As you know I recommend Crazy Crow Trading Post very highly.
They have always treated me very fair and all orders have been speedy and correct. As good as HI's for me and that's saying something.:D

Edit:
PS, They also have other period items but you have to watch some of the large period knives, one example is the Beaver Tail Dagger, as they're made in Pakistan or some place similar and aren't of good quality but their prices reflect that.
They also sell excellent quality knife blades and Green River knives and kits.

Wow...it costs a lot to be an ndn!
Sure does! If you think the blankets are spendy check out this wool tradecloth. It is an accurate reproduction of the material that was traded long ago. When you look at the prices bear in mind it's per 1/2 meter or per Foot!!!! I gave a little over a $1000.00 for my Southern Style Straight Dance Outfit quite used but in still very nice condition and then had to make my otter drag, moccasin's, dance belt, and deer toe leg rattles! A friend of mine did all of my beadwork, dance stick, scalp feather sticks, and other sundry items in barter for a Flute.
My porcupine roach headdress cost me $275.00 alone. A really nice otter drag like mine goes for around $500.00! And I danced one season before I got so bad I couldn't stand up anymore. But with the rollator and walking almost every day I hope to get back to it maybe by next summer.:D

It's nothing to spend $5000.00 for a really nice outfit and up to $10,000.00 for a really exceptional one!!!!
I saw an immaculately beaded dance belt made with small size 14 cut glass beads that must've went for around $2,500.00 alone down at the Creek Nation Powwow one year! I'll never forget it either.
But that's what it takes if you're a really serious dancer and in it for the money on the Powwow Circuit sometimes known as the Powwow Highway.:D

Hmm..so much for my idea of a breechcloth, homemade mocs and a feather! Maybe I could dance as a poor ndn?

;-)

You're in luck. I happen to make breechcloths. 5 bux plus shipping and I'll send you one made from high tech bubble wrap. It's static safe too.

I think the only thing you can get from the "Bay" that might be possibly good for re-enactments is the striped blanket.
