HUmm.. the link doesn't work unless viewed on that site so...

link deleted - see below post as to why Rusty

Look at the third post.

How big do you think that khuk is and what kind is it?

Looks like some impressive skill with that blade IMO..

Makes me want to earn for a 18" chiruwa ang khola now...

awww.... :(

Oh well, I thought it was interesting. Genmay is pretty crude and not for everyone. :/

No harm done. ;)

Chopsticks, I rarely do something like this, but I deleted your link. Those who are interested in it can e-mail you for it.

Let me explain why. Uncle Bill and Yangdu are Mahayana Buddhist ( Tibetan ). Since they believe in compassion toward all sentient beings, such ceremonies are abhorrent to them.

They respect Hindu ways, but do not like to watch such things occuring. Out of deference to them, please don't place such links on here. Search the archives for references to puja, and read to understand their sentiments better.

I viewed the link, and consider it a religious rite, and to be treated as such. It is an awesome event, but also may be very disturbing to some. The late James K. Mattis noted the similarities to Jewish tradition. It should be approached with reverence rather than as a thrill.

Edit - you beat me to the post. Thanks for your appreciation in your second post. Put up your email if you would, so people can contact you off forum.

I will admit it bothered me to watch.

I didn't think of the religious stuff... Sorry.

It's probably for the better that the link was removed.

Anyone interested can IM me for the link.

Or reach me at Tuan416@aol.com

blah it's 4:45am I'd just given up on trying to sleep! :(
