My mom went to one of those family reunions where waxy-skinned people haul tons of photo albums and there are piles of potato salad and cole slaw.
She came back with news that we had a great great great etc.. grandmother who was a Fox indian married into the family in Illinois during the Blackhawk war.

So my question is: Do I get any casino money now?
 
Better find out how many ndn's your other ancestors KIlled first....you may owe.

Seriously, I wish I had some ndn blood. I have nothing. munk blood- irish blood.

It was a surprise to me, I'm as white as a ghost. Doctors dont need xrays, they just hold me up to a light bulb.

I know NDN's that aren't very NDN. And Non NDN's that are more NDN than some that are supposed to be.

On the large scale, most European settlers were male, very few females.
The only option for many was to intermarry, particularly with the French.
That being the case, there are many who had NDN ancestors at some point, about 200 years ago. To bad not enough people thought about it.

If you go back far enough, all people at one point lived close to the earth and had shamanic traditions.

You guys are lucky tob e able to trace your family back to such things. I come from an obvious long line of not too picky family members. English, Irish, French, and a tad of Cherokee on one side. German and Cherokee on the other. I can see all of those traits in me today. Kinda dark complected from the cherokee (hard to sunburn), English stiff upper lip, temper of an Irishman (and the thirst of one;)), and eat like a German (also, the thirst of one;))...Luckily, not too many French traits have shown up:) Although, i do find myself jonesing for unfiltered cigarettes and Jerry Lewis movies from time to time;) It's really interesting to find out stuff about your family. Some of it should stay in the closet though.

French fries are American. As for french kissing, well, the French probably have had their tongues out for over a thousand years.

....OK OK: no more bashing France.
