an American you may not want to view this video.
Semper Fi. Do or die. Nuff said.

Link deleted. Apparently some people thought this was a video
game or rock video.

It is much more sacred & cherished.

Why not - thank you for the impressive pictures. I just do not like the music for the first and the third part. tragedy (911) and war are not video games (that´s the impression of video+music - but that may be my personal view). A country at war has a right on a certain perspective, why should "foreigners" not want to view it even if not everyone might agree on the message (but then not every American might)?

Good point, Andreas.

I am still chilled to the bone every time I see those pictures. I'll never forget that day and where I was standing when I saw the second plane hit.

And I gotta say, even though I don't like the guy and a lot of the stuff he does, Bush exercised more restraint than I probably would have if I were in his place.

But I agree, all nationalities can see that. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to remind them why we act the way we do every now and then.

Well, the music was probably inappropriate. You're right, it does make it seem like a fun game.
I imagine those dead guy's mothers probably wouldnt enjoy that music.

I apologize if I offended or made some people feel "isolated".
We have many foreign born American's. When I used the word American I did not mean a white, corn fed, southern raised boy....or belle.
I suppose I really meant the American "ideal". Someone in this country legally,
a citizen, someone who holds the American ideals, beliefs, laws & liberties close to their heart. And is willing to stand up, defend & uphold the
American way of life. Some one who believes in the American
ideal. Where does this leave the peace niks, liberals & chicken
feet? I dunno. This clip simply reminded me of why American children,
brothers, sisters, mothers & fathers are dying on foreign soil.
The second part was an inspiration of what the consequences
are for attacking my country,my way of life & my beliefs.
I wanted to share it.

Thanks for the explanation, Ernesto. But you really needn't remove the link. We're just discussing it, that's all. Hope you don't feel attacked, man. I'm sure that wasn't the idea. :)

Thank you for the link.
I feel that we need to be reminded of these happenings or we forget just why we are at war. Seeing the video sure brings back the memories in a horrible rush. It is important to me at least to remember the bad in life as well as the good. There is no perspective without both.
Thanks Again.

Thanks for the link. I will never forget where I was or what I was doing when this tragedy happened. I proudly served for 13 yrs in the Navy. This tragedy brought all Americans those born here and naturalized togather on that terrible day and our resposne shows what determined purpose the American People have.

I wonder how people would react to footage of the jews at aushwitz followed by footage of our pilots firebombing german towns all to the tune of "live and let die" by Gunz and Roses...

For me, it would depend a lot on the production.

A midnight lynching could be fun. But my better judgement is telling me to go to bed and leave it for the morning. But who listens to that anyways?

He might be fine too.

It does seem very video-gamish at the beginning.

John the liberal peacenik.

(edit) Hold up- "It is much more sacred & cherished." What the ^&*%ing bloody blue blazes are you talking about? What is "sacred & cherished" about video game music played over images of my countrymen dying? What the hell?!

And, you're right- only Americans realize injustice. Only Americans understand loss. Only Americans get upset when innocent civilians are slaughtered...and all Americans are marines. "'Nuff said." :barf:

In this case I would listen. I haven't ever totally made up my mind and could be wrong but there's a lot of just plain old weirdness in the world and I think it just may be a case of that.
If worse comes to worse I can always just go Psssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.;) :D :p ;)
That is if you get my drift.:D ;)
