This nice 3 bed, 2 bath, home just needs a little work. Plenty of yard room and low lawn maintenence. Improving neighborhood. Price neg. get in while you still can. n2s

Personally I'd like to turn it into a Glow-In-The-Dark parking lot and suck the oil out from underneath.

What's funny is that some day if a middle class ever developes, land will be a good investment there.

Most of Iraq supports the US. Of those that don't, and the foreign fighters, I don't 'hate' them per see. ( I'm perfectly willing to exterminate them) But I understand they have the US as the Big Satan, the answer to all their grief. Kill USA.

I wish my life were as simple. I want a single fall guy to blame all the wrongs and troubles on too.

Damn shame there isn't one.

Course, I'm still not buying land there.

I don't know Munk, a lot of the A-Rabs were dancing in the streets with joy when those 4 planes flew into the US trade towers and other targets. If you ask me, they bitch alot about us supposedly flushing the Koran down the toilet, yet they hack the heads off of our CIVILIANS with glee.

All IRAQ needs to look at is Germany and Japan. Both hated enemies during WWII, yet we built them up and now they are both strong and rich enough to spit in our faces. Seems like a hell of deal to me. If these people aren't smart enough to see that, then maybe we should just make IRAQ into New Texas. What's the use of being the last great hegemonic power in the world if we can't have a little fun. :D

Watched the video link.

Apparently the property is subject to urban renewal; perhaps they will be building a mall or theme park . . .

I know 50 Freak; they've been taught. I'm not a sympathezer, but only have to look to elements in the NY Times and the European press to see support and sympathy with the idea of the US as Great Satan.

Munk,

I know the US is not perfect. But I can tell you that after travelling the world extensively, (including the country I left as a refugee) The US is still one of the best out there in terms of freedom, overall happiness and high standards of living. And love it like no other do I.

We make the Arab nations rich buying their oil and they repay us by treating us like crap. I think the best thing this country could ever do is invest heavily into alternative fuel sources and get out of the thumbs of OPEC. Let China or Europe deal with them. Make the US non-reliant on them. Then maybe our policies would be different.

I honestly really don't see a reason for the Arabs to hate us so much. If they want a Jihad then by God, lets give it to them. Lets have a freaking 21st century Crusade. To them we are all Infidels and only worthy of being slaughtered and beheaded. So how about we level some countries like IRAQ, IRAN, and Saudi Arabia (just for good measure ;) ). Lets see how much the remaining Arab nations will be willing to negiotate afterwards.

No one seems to remember that almost all of the Arab nations supported the Nazis against us in WWII. They are a vile race of people. So screw them.

Okay, too much coffee today....  Howabout just getting away from relying on Arab oil and then letting them kill themselves and not the "American Devils".

I feel that a large part of the problem is that people on both sides of the fence are reluctant to let go of the past. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it, but so are those that dwell upon it.

While I understand your feelings on the issue, statements like this do not help. Remember that the US, England, Russia, and the other "good guys" of WWII did some very questionable things as well. Everyone makes mistakes, if indeed they were actually mistakes when they happened.

There are individuals in this world who profess to hate me because of who I am, what I do, and where I live. I'd like to think that most of those same individuals would feel differently if they got to know me. One can only hope that this is the case.

Am I being the devil's advocate here? Possibly. It's a role that I tend to wind up in. They believe that they're doing good; I believe that I'm doing good. An impartial observer would probably think that we're both wrong.

50Freak,

Many people hate the US. There is much encouragement for this.

What 50 cal do you shoot, anyway?

I know that the US is not exactly well liked in the rest of the world. I had to even say I was a chinese citizen when I was traveling abroad during the beginings of the "war" on terror campaign. Because every time someone found out I was an American. They had to give me a lecture on the evils of Bush. Got rather tiring after the umpteen time, especially when I'm getting lectures from the freaking cab driver. Jeez....

All countries during WWII did not behave "gentlemenly" during that conflict. But you will never hear of death camps or rape of comfort women in the US. The problem of this country is that we are a bit untrusting of "outsiders" and quick to act on such fears. I'd like to believe we are different from our past. But no matter what, this country is one of the greatest in the world and as a result, we are envied and hated.

People always hate the guy doing better than them. How many times have you said to yourself. So and So's got a great life. Beautiful wife, good job, drives a nice car, has all his hair. God I hate him.

Well that's the way I think most of the world see us. I know this is oversimplifing things but seriously. No one ever remembers we send out more financial/humanitarian aid than any other country. All they remember is that we beat up on poor little Afganistan. Well jee...Afganistan harbored the man and organization that orchestrated an act of war on us. And not just once, but many times. Honestly their lucky we didn't turn them into a glass parking lot. I believe Bush and the American people showed a lot of restraint. The whole Iraq thing is an entirely different story and I'm not getting into it.

Anyways, lets keep this political discussion of the Bladeforums. Lets just agree to disagree and part as friends. I shoot 50 bmg out of a UltraMag50.
www.ultramag50.com

My rifle weights about 18 pounds with scope, bipod and everything. That's pretty light for a mag fed 50 bmg rifle. I also have AR's, AKs, FALs, Glocks, pretty much if it's black and evil looking, I like it. My collection hasn't grown much in the last 5 years as I'm in California and we aren't exactly known for being gun friendly. Hence I'm getting into Khukuris. ;)
