Hi John,

Yes, there is a virus coming in with your emails. It just alerted me again with your last email. Please don't email my computer until you have it checked out. Is your virus software up to date as of today? Good luck! I hope it doesn't cause you any trouble.
:(

Rob, The anti-viral programs are up to date and no one else I have contacted has reported any viruses. I don't know enough about these things to be definitive, but apologize again. It must be seeking out something in your computer according to my IT guy.:barf:

Weird! Sorry for the trouble John! I don't understand what could of happened:confused: I just got another email from your address with a bunch of code and computer jargon. Did you send it? I ran a full virus scan on my computer and came up with nothing. However I did need to quarantine a file from your email(or from somewhere that shows up only when I click on your emails). However, the one that just came in did not set off any warnings:confused:

Sorry for all the trouble, I hope neither one of us has a virus!!

That is strange. When I had a virus quite awhile back(before I had my harddrive cleaned out and installed a new internet/automatically updated version), my computer was sending email to people by itself. I hope that you don't have a "cutting edge" virus that hasn't been cracked yet! But if that's the case, how/why is my anti-virus program setting off alarms? And even stranger, how come the email that you DIDN'T send, is the only one that didn't set off the anti-virus software?!? This is definitely weird:confused:

Some no gooder may be using John's address and sending out a virus. I got an irate email from some woman who had been receiving email from my address that I didn't know had been sent -- something about trying to seduce her teen age daugher. Just what every happily married 68 year old heart attack survivor needs -- a teen age girlfriend!!!!

John, I don't know if this will be helpful down the road, but my virus program says that the virus "WScript.KakWorm.dr" virus was what came in with your email it exists in the file "C:\windows\startmenu\programs\startup\Kak.hta". It told me to quaratine the file, erase the file and replace it. Hope this helps:)

p.s. I use Norton anti-virus 2001. It could be a total coincidence and unrelated to your email, but the whole thing started as soon as I clicked on your email.

pps you might want to take a look at the list of viruses that your program protects you against and see if that one is covered.

In a way these guys who try to destroy with viruses remind me of cyber terrorists. And, I'd like to deal with them in the same way I would with all of terrorists.
