No bets. Just a respite and some guesses and a hope.

I am praying for my little Steelers, so I choose them over the Jets. I think there will be an upset in the other Pennisvania city and choose Vikings. I choose them because of two outstanding things to me. One is Eagles dropped one without regard except to insure first string health and Moss is hot. One of my leanings about the Eagles is it is not good to comfortably loose. Could be wrong of course. -- I think Colts loose. I just feel that because of Patriot Play Off winning experience. The remaining NFC match up I can not even remember who they are but I feel home team on that one (is it Rams??).

Although I am extremely biased toward Steelers no matter what their record, I feel real good also because they knocked a contender out in last week of Reg. Season with mostly second string and have not tasted (came damn close though a couple/three times) defeat since starting their rookie QT.

I am not routing for the Vikes even though Randy Moss played for Marshell U., about 45 minutes from me. We here know him to be a spoiled brat. The fact is, whether liked or not, when you'e hot every one else behind you gets hot. I'll reluctantly pick Vikes over Eagles because of double and triple coverage at the corners.

Just for fun. I hope I don't have to come back later sheading big tears over my poor little Steelers.

Pittsburgs quarterback is a dandy alright. He sure surprized me this year. I don't care one war or the other about vikings and eagles. I do like the Rams. I wish the colts could get their playoff games in gear, but like you, I feel they will choke.

I doubt Manning will choke. I am just going by what I think are percentages based on play off experience. I prefer Pittsburgh not have to face Manning, so a little extra bias mixed in there also because of that. I wonder how much has been noticed about me here today since I am pretty quite about my preferences but just as a picture to paint in your mind: my Steelers jersey is still unwashed and ready to be dressed into; my Official Terrible Towel (vintage 1988 and a two time Three Rivers verteran - given to me) is unwashed and layed out in close proximity, and my un-opened Steelers Christmas Tree ornament is setting upon the TV. I have NO Steeler drinking mug. I prefer not to get overly enthusiastic; just enough to cause nervous breakdown without absolute chance of suicide.

If manning chokes, I'm gonna cry- he'd better take em' to the top! Anyways, other than, I hope that the Vikings get the slagg beaten out of em'.

Choke was a strong word. I don't think manning will choke. I hope he doesn't. I just hope their playoff luck changes. I'm not a steeler fan, but I do feel they are playing the best ball right now.

Guys! Guys!! Guys!!! It really doesn't matter because New England will kick all of there butts. HEHEHE!!!
PS: I do not even watch football.

I'd have to call that one a "three pair of BVD's game." The Steelers be very, very lucky today. Happy for you, Roger! Better twirl that danged towel a little harder next time, though! :)

Now, if only Philly will beat Viking arse so bad they ......... :D

Sports???

When they start talking about sports at work, I just throw in some heat treating nomenclature; kind of derails the conversation. :D After fifteen years in my job, people kind of understand that I don't grok sports and never will. Fantasy Football? What the...?

Check this out: They make a whole section in the newspaper for sports! Where are the sculptors, poets, furniture makers and Edward Scissorhands?

Okay, I'll go away now. :D Just had to pretend I was at lunch...

I am not a great football fan, but during the playoffs I watch a few games. I have liked the Packers ever since the frost bowl-anybody who hands Dallas their hind end on a platter is OK by me.

Fantasy football? The only fantasies I entertain about football involve the cheerleaders...

...oh well "you really know you're over the hill
when your mind starts making promises
your body can't fill"

Dave, You ever wonder why I'm out in the shop so much? I've got a wife that has to watch every sport except for tennis, golf, and hocky. If there's two games on at the sametime she's constantly flipping. Guess you have figured out by now that poker is the newest sport....... To bad NY Jets kicker was off. That would have made 6 offencesive points.

Ray, you are one very lucky fellow.

I've got bite marks on my finger tips and a cow path worn into the carpet. I can't get over that Steeler/Jets game. What was that anyway, the Emaculate Deception? I hope it is a sign of destiny.
