One of the boys that done us proud over in Afghanistan. Yes those are only four stripes on his sleeve, and yes, that is a Bronze Star on his chest. The boy humped 100 lb. rucks through the mountains of Afghanistan with Special Forces. He was involved in a major battle over there, a battle decided by the air power he brought to bear. A lot of guys will come home in one piece from Afghanistan, and Iraq, because of the dedication and professionalism of young men like this one. Y'all pardon my shameless bragging, couldn't help myself.

Excellent!

On a related note... I think we need to petition Spark to make a like smiley that's saluting (I know they're out there) and add it to the smilies you can use when making a post.

Always good to hear about the gents that get some recognition for hard work and dedication. :)

Sarge,

It ain’t bragging if it’s fact.

Pass congratulations on to the Sgt.

S/F, Mike

Hey, Major Mike,

It may be obvious to everyone but me, but is your handle the opposite of FNG?

I may be lost about "FNG" and "it's opposite".

But think pic and story:cool:
My vote goes to "bragging rights" here.
:D
Thanks Sarge.

Shirley, it's 'Old Guy' vs 'New Guy'. The 'F' is not for mixed company.

Yeah, definitely bragging rights.

Let me add my congrats too.

These young lads and lasses make me so very proud to be an American!

Brag all you like. We don't mind. You and the boys earned it. Somehow, I don't think any story about doing the right thing, or doing what needs to be done will ever be "off topic" on this forum.

Why, Yes it is! Congrats to Griff. Heckuva thing to pass on to future generations, They'll know that their ancestor brought honor to his line.

Huzzah!

Keith
