Sears + K-Mart == S-Mart

Shop Smart. Shop S-Mart

:D

Guess what movie I'm watching this weekend? :)

ept777, you are a guy after my own heart:)
I just heard that Raimi is going to do a remake of Evil Dead produced by his Ghost House company. He is getting the ball rolling by talking with Rob tapert and Bruce Campbell. But he won't be directing it:( weird.

Wouldn't happen to be "Army of Darkness?" Bruce "The Chin" Campbell in his finest role.

Definitely watch Bubba HoTep for those who haven't seen it yet. Not relaly kid appropriate, or rather, depends on the kids, but a great flick for us grownups. :)

If you are into the commentary tracks on DVDs check out the "King's" track on Bubba Ho Tep. Pretty entertaining:D
fyi: supposedly another Ho Tep movie in the works as well.

It's like tying two rocks together in a desperate attempt to make them float. The combined store chain will only shrink faster.

If they go down, I hope that the Orchard Supply division doesn't self-destruct with them. A pretty decent hardware store. Sears acquired them a couple of years ago.

How can you be a Bruce Campbell fan? He is one of those actors found in a certain crowd, don't ask me who or how, but a lot of the Cast of the Hercules bunch seem to be together in film after film. Now, I like him fine, but he's a good B actor.

I have't seen Bubba ho tep. What's that?

Army of Darkness was camp classic.

AS for Sears, if they'd not ripped people off in their automotive departments for 4 decades it might have helped.

Bubba Ho-tep

munk, did you mean how can you not like Bruce Campbell? You post is just a little confusing unless that was what you meant. I agree, he's a great B actor. His website, www.brucecampbell.com has some interesting stuff on it. It seems like he's one of the few relatively famous people out there with a functioning brain. And he's funny as all get out.

From the Amazon OnLineMovieDataBase:

The King of Rock vs. The King of the Dead
You know the legends... Now learn the truth.

Bubba Ho-tep tells the "true" story of what really did become of Elvis Presley. We find Elvis (Bruce Campbell) as an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home, who switched identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his "death", then missed his chance to switch back. Elvis teams up with Jack (Ossie Davis), a fellow nursing home resident who thinks that he is actually President John F. Kennedy, and the two valiant old codgers sally forth to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their long-term care facility as his happy hunting grounds.

His western TV series "Brisco County" was one of my favorites, but like most of my favorite TV shows it didn't last long. I guess it was too good for the mindless masses.

Well when the dust settles I'll have to check 'em out.:footinmou I stopped dealing with Sears almost 20 years ago, crushed up their credit card in my bare hand and handed it too one of their dorky managers and said I would never be back, never was either.

I'll know within 5 minutes or less if I need to turn around and walk out.
But I wasn't too fond of K-mart either. I bought a surf rod and reel from them and the reel self-destructed on its second cast. I took it back to get a new one and the clerk said to just go get your money back.
Evidently he knew what he was talking about as none of the reels were worth a siht on further inspection.
I got my money back and went and ordered me a Penn reel from Okiebug, it has never failed me!:D
The rod has been pretty decent though.

Bubba Ho Tep......hmmm....never heard of it....guess I'll have to check it out....

Damn, I'd forgotten about Brisco County, that was a pretty good show. I think he also did one called Jack of all Trades? It was a Hercules type show.

Yep, Jack of All Trades. Wasn't it part of that thing they called "The Action Pack" or whatever where it was JOAT and Cleopatra 2525 back to back....my God i wasted a lot of time in college:D
