Heads up to the Cantina.
Within the last 12 hrs or so, the media (CNN?) put out a news item about folks getting killed/captured at my location. Absolutely not true, and I believe they've already retracted the story. But, not before giving my elderly parents a pretty bad scare.
Friends, I'm not saying our media is inept or dishonest, but they are
people too and people make mistakes. It's okay to keep abreast of current events, but please keep a grain of salt handy.

Don't pay for CNN, and haven't heard anything so far...Thanks for the heads-up and keep safe!

Amazing thing, this instant communication. Some are able to speak to the whole world before they have the facts...and become the news instead of reporting it if they don't exercise the care they used to in the past before things happened so fast. It's good to see that the same technology can be used by others to keep things square--a retraction always gets less play. Thanks again, and thanks to those who allowed you to inform us. I always keep the salt handy.:)

Thanks for the info Sarge. Since I'm at College with out TV, radio, or phone, your my only really good source of info about whats going on out there. Thanks! :)

They are not as accurate nor as responsible as they should be.

Always have the salt handy, Sarge. Glad all is well. You and the young men with you stay sharp, OK?:)

Thanks Sarge: I'd heard snatches, but not specifically where it supposedly happened. Glad to get the straight stuff before the GIGO factor takes over.

Better yet go to the feed store and get one of them salt licks for cattle that's about a cubic foot square.

Sarge = you're making us proud.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the update.

Wish I was there to cheer, get us alcohol and run a good honest poker game on payday. I'll have to leave the real work to those a little younger and a bit more fit than me.
