Two-year long, three pages worth of posts over in Frugal's. Posts by Walosi, Rusty, munk and others. On page three, a poster named "Ox" has posted some nice historical images of blades relating to, or pre-dating the khukuri. There are current posts by mrostow and other Cantinistas.

At one time, I must have posted this link before, but it has continued to be informative and fairly well-balanced.

Kismet,
I enjoyed reading Walosis and Rusty's comments from the past. My more recent post was in surprise to serious blade people actually thinking there was no use for a khukuri other than executing prisoners. Weird. I mean, the khuk may not be someone's cup of tea, but it has so much intrinsic usefulness I can't understand the attitude.

Munk:

I think the attitude is just a matter of embellished legend, urban or otherwise, propagated by those whom are likely misinformed or otherwise opinionated.
