OT: Kind of neat site, interesting Israeli special forces gear

Yeh, Aardvark.... like anyone would want YOU to have a .50 caliber sniper's rifle. There's already some serious discussion of your interest in clock towers.

:p

Kis

(edit: but as long as you have an interest, a second site: http://guns.connect.fi/rs/index.html )

Kis, you're just afraid that the .50 will give me an advantage in the next feeding frenzy. As if I need one.

so did everybody else click through right to the weapons area first?

(...like I did...)

 :D

Great site! They definately have great innovation having to fight that often...

However, I found this quite disturbing:

http://www.isayeret.com/weapons/assault/m16vsak47.htm

AND

http://www.isayeret.com/weapons/assault/galil/galil.htm

I was downright shocked at the fact that the beating the Galil took on those 2 pages. IMOHO, the Galil is a superior weapon with the use of a far better gas piston system. The design is simply flawed to start with:

All the talk of "Oh, just clean it and it'll be fine!" or "You haven't cleaned it properly" is just bull$h!t. I've handled, trained with, fired, stripped down past a normal field strip, cleaned, reassembled, etc. the M16 in the SAF (Singapore Armed Forces) for 2 years, long enough to know...

I'm just glad my fave rifles, the H&K G3 has been battle-tested and proven! :D:D:D
