At six weeks of age they are drinking milk, eating kibbles dry, and using the litter box. Otherwise...

45% of the time they are fighting like monsters.
45% of the time they are sleeping like angels.
10% of the time they display their personalities:
Tootsie: ( female ) Primadonna - instigator
Feist: ( male ) Spunky and into everything/nice ( about evenly divided )
Big Boy: ( male ) Just a nice fellow

For the most part ( 90 % of the tiime ) they have two speeds. On ( full charge ); and off ( asleep where they drop ).

The scars on my arms are starting to heal. No such luck for my legs. Been thinking about a new, stiff, thick pair of jeans. Or getting out my metal-woven canvas-covered knee high snakeproof leggings. They regard my legs as a ladder, or maybe staircase would be more appropriate.

In a couple of weeks will start looking to give a couple away.

It is nice to nod off in the recliner and briefly rouse to discover one, two, or all three of them asleep in or around your lap.

:( Don't give them away Rusty ... get them a pet of their own :)

People who have never had a kitten hoot and holler about how cute they are. Well they definately AREN'T tribbles!!!!
When my little girl was a kitten she would chew on my toes in the middle of the night.

cats are funny creatures...my neighbour had some pretty serious high blood pressure, taken lots a meds and walking, but since he got a kitten now a cat (which chased my construction workers pit/hound dog around my backyard and still can not live it down among the guys!)..anyways my neigh is no longer a risk do to his high blood pressure being way down and he is no longer on any meds, but he is still walking...

My three cats, all of unknown lineage, are all that keeps me sane some days. One is 13 years old (female) named Whiskers, one is 6 years (female) named Why (As in WHY another cat?), and the youngest is 3 years (male) named Tigger. The youngest is also the largest, and also the most friendly. They weigh around 10 to 15 lbs, the 6 year old is the smallest at 10 lbs. The oldest has started losing weight in the last 6 months. She's down to 12 lbs. And Tigger is 15 lbs. They are my "other" children.

Kittens are the cutest! :) I know what you mean about the scars, when I had two kittens awhile ago they went through a phase where from out of nowhere they'd jump from the floor to about the middle of my back (usually when I was sitting on the floor doing something, but sometimes just when I was walking around) and claw their way up to my shoulders. That was a joy. :)

I have never kept a cat, but I read these posts with interest because I will be attempting to introduce an 80# playful but cowardly dog into the household of a 5# friendly but skittish cat.

Gonna be interesting. ;)

Our little Timmorn is going on one year old and is just the sweetest cat I've ever had. Don't get me wrong, I love my Guinevere, she's been sleeping on my chest for nine years now, but she's been full of p!ss and vinegar since day one.
