Just spotted this today and think it would be really good for guys wanting to learn to forge and do their own heat treat. Plenty of length in the chamber (11"), stainless propane burner, compact and looks to be pretty well made. I haven't seen one up close or used one, but could be well worth checking out.

The info says it will get up to 2350deg. which is hot enough to forge weld, make a little stick of Damascus or forge wrought iron to shape. With a single burner, it may take a lot of fuel to maintain that temp, but still workable in the short run.

Thanks for sharing this Rick! It may be the ticket to start forging in NYC!

Would be ideal for use in a garage or smaller back yard, Bill. You'd just have to find a really quiet anvil. Well.... if you're not on good terms with the neighbors, pick up a power hammer.:D
