Overall, not bad and I'm happy with it, but I can definitely do better. This was the first time I tried using the press I made and using rivets. My heat gun and press are at work, along with some kydex, so I won't get to do more until the beginning of the week. I plan on doing one for my HHFSH and FBM, as well as a couple for some rats and dogs I have too. Thanks to the guys that gave me some helpful hints, I appreciate it.

I wanted to get this done before I left work for the holiday, so I still need to smooth out the edges.

That looks great Dan! Sure can't tell it's your first.

Thanks Kenny. It's a Swamp Warden, so the skeletonized handle makes it easy to make a slight pinch point for retention. I think I'll have it down pat after a few more. It's pretty neat stuff to work with. I wasn't paying attention on the back side flare, and melted the kydex a little. You can see where it's a little shiny. At least now I know what setting to use on my heat gun, distance from the kydex, and for how long. :D

woops, I took the retention question out while you were replying to it. I realized it must be a little of both being a skelly. Sorry.

I didn't think about putting the pinch point in the skelly handle. I Should have thought of that, I just hate to have very much blade retention.

LOL, I thought I was going crazy there for minute. :D

I agree, handle retention is better. The skelly handle works great on this one, and the little flaps help with removal and re-installation. I think the HH will be next.

I think you did a nice job MD. I've seen one other Kydex sheath for the Swamp Warden and it didn't looks as if it would secure the knife, unlike yours.

Good work Bro!

Aren't you tired of that ugly mojo yet??? She still looks mint, I thought you were going to make her a user?

Thanks Eli. Just wait until Xmas, I have a new present opener! :D

I really do love the mojo. Definitely going camping with me next time I go, unless I can come up with something else to try it out on. The only thing that worries me is how much the handles can take when chopping. ;)

Edit: and thanks to you too Willie.

Very nice work! I certainly would not have guessed that it was the first you made!!

A girl needs a knife...

Wow! That is a nice sheath, and fantastic for a first. Good idea starting on something small and relatively hassle-free. What's next?

Thanks guys. I got a few in the works this week when I get some time. HHFSH, and probably a scrapper 6, as well as a couple other smaller ones. I think a fatty Blender Warden will be in the works also as well as a few more Swamp Wardens. I'll post more pics as I get them done.

Very nice sheath! Congrats! I like the sheaths made of folded kydex better than pancake ones. Folded ones take much less space, and carring them is much more comfortable.

Did a couple more yesterday while a had some free time. 2 tan for Swamp Wardens, and one for my fatty Blender Warden. Getting better at it I think.
