I finally decided on a car and bought it!!!!!!!! I went with an acura TL in silver with black leather interior--check out www.acura.com if you'd like to see one. It is an AMAZING website!

I'm so psyched--I'll pick it up this week. I got the 6 speed by the way :)

I got a good deal too :) If you're in the Maine NH area I recommend North Hampton Acura, they seem like a good outfit.

Congrats again Uwinv!:D Our new Camry SE will be here in 5-7 weeks now. There weren't any in stock around just exactly like we wanted so had to order it from the factory.

I got a pretty good deal too. :D

It happened to work out that the color I chose was one of the two (the other being Black) that Acura makes alot of right away. A few other colors they still hadn't gotten in yet.

The TL makes it easy as far as decisions on options go: they just put them all in there (well except for the one extra, the navigation system)! It sort of forces your hand in the negotiations because you can't push for a car without the features you don't want/need. There are a few I could live without, but they'll be fun to play with. I particularly like the automatic onboard bartender feature  ;) :D

I was sorely tempted to get the TSX (and probably should have gotten it) . It is much less $$ and has lots of extras, plus it drives like a sportier Accord. The stereo in the TSX is AWESOME!! 360 watts of power. Although the TL's is no slouch either :D

Congrats to you both...it must be that time of year. I just got a new 2004 Avalanche in Onyx Black. Pure sport utility luxury in the front, truck in the back. Yee-Haw!

My choice for the right HI to carry in it...an AK Bowie! :D

Really loved my Acura congrats on a new car hope it dosen't get in way of your knife purchases

I'll just save my mileage reimbursement checks from work for that :D Somehow I think I'll probably be asking "so, does anybody need anything from the store??!" ;) :D

Thanks! And right back atcha! :D Do you have a pic or a website link for that truck/suv?

Congrats!
My new truck is just now coming due for it's first oil change. It's a 2004 1/2, Dodge ram 2500, with the HO Cummins diesel. 325 hp, 600 lb/ft torque.

I have always thought that the Acura TL is one of the great cars and values out there. Congratulations.

I always laugh when the car magazines say its a great car, but its front wheel drive and it should be rear wheel drive. Its the only criticism they ever can come up with. Well, as a Vermonter, I don't want a rear wheel drive car. I can deal with a tiny bit less performance for excellant winter driving. You could get an audi with AWD, but its less car for the same money (A4) or similar car for more money (A6)

Thanks Shann :) Yeah, I agree about the Audi. The A4 that I could have affored with the 1.8T engine is no where near as fast as this car!

It FLYS!!! I just picked it up last night and I'm still scared to drive it or park it near any other cars. Ah what exquisite pleasure and suffering a new car brings! ;) :D

Just got a 2002 Cadillac Eldorado with 18k miles and a full fatcory warranty! All black inside and out. Incredible car. It is the ETC version with the higher 300 horsepower 32 valve Northstar engine. Very fast and smooth.

Also has the Onstar system with a cell phone and GPS built in to the car.

I never had Onstar before and it is wonderful. For instance I was driving at 70 mph on the expressway. The "Low Coolant" warning came on. I punched the Onstar button on the rear view mirror.

A voice said, "This is Greg with Onstar Mr. Marsh. I see that you are driving through Champaign Illinois, on interstate (whatever) how may I Help you?"

I explained about the "Low Coolant" warning. He said, "Would you hold for a minute while I run diagnostics on your car?"

A minute later he said, "I have run complete diagnostics, your engine, transmission, steering, driveline, brakes, airbags are all in perfect opertaing condition. May I call a Cadillac dealer to discuss this situation?"

Minutes later a service manager was on the line. The Onstar system comes through the car speakers. He gave me directions to his shop and told me that he would top it up for free, or I could do it myself, but use the GM Coolant which is orange.

The Onstar guy came back on and said, "I compute that the dealer is about 10 miles from the expressway where you are traveling and I have found an Advance Auto Parts at the next exit. They have the GM Coolant and it is $6.95. It is in stock. It might be quicker for you to get the coolant and pour it in yourself."

All this while driving 70 mph on an expressway. Getting 25 miles to the gallon! And if I have an accident and the airbags deploy, Onstar will call me. If I don't respond, they send an ambulance to my location.

My first Cadillac, and I love it. Smooth, powerful, comfprtable. When I unlock the car with my remote, it sets the seat position, radio stations and mirrors. When my wife uses her remote, it sets all that for her.

There is one thing that is spooky about this car. It is almost alive. I had the coolant leak repaired at a local Cadillac dealer. A few months later I got a message from that dealer that the car had called them, on its own, to tell them it was ready for its 25,000 mile checkup!

When I used to have my '77 El Dorado I felt like Super Cool Pimp Daddy.
If I had a talking car like yours I would feel like David Hasselhoff.

It must have been hard for him to be cool driving KITT, that talking homosexual car. Now I don't know for sure that the car was gay, as I never actually saw it engaged in any homosexual activity, but it sure sounded gay.
