OT: Neat dagger

I just likes the way it looks. Very serious. :)

Re-reading the description, doesn't seem like the guy is promising anything, just throwing stuff out for consideration. I could be wrong.

dunno. Pretty. :)

Sure. It's pretty, but he throws this other crap out to suck you in without clearly promising anything you can hold him to. I see it over and over again on ePrey: "I don't know. I'm no expert. I could be wrong, but it looks a lot like/I've been told it looks like he dagger carried by the head of Roger's Rangers in the Revolutionary Civil War of 1812. Certainly a vintage item - old - from fifty to five hundred years old. Don't quote me on this. Genuine steel. Best I've ever seen. You can't do better.

Thomas, Thomas, Thomas....

The world's has been hard on you, hasn't it? :( It's OK, there ARE decent folks out there, many of whom really don't want to hurt you. :) It will be ok, a little skepticism with learned trust and you will learn to be less cynical of all others.

You should try one of Bruise's indulgences, now THERE's a bargain. :D

Kis Kis Kis

I am not "cynical of all others." If I was, I could not be a Boy Scout leader.

I am cynical, distrusting, and #issed off about certain eBay vendors and practices having seen others burned (After all, I can see the auctions where people have paid $100's for fake items). EBay is the wild frountier. That doesn't meen there are not good folks, but law is far away.

In my years buying on eBay, I have had only two bad experiences. All other experiences have been with people it is a pleasure to give positive feedback. BUT if I didn't know the items I bid on, I would not have had such an experience. (I just looked at an auction for a Schrade Boy Scout sheath knife. Except Schrade never made sheath knives for the Boy Scouts.)

There have been no exceptions with my dealings with forumites here or at the "other place." All have been positive.

Sorry I did not share your enthusiasm for the dagger's description. I didn't mean to "rain on your parade."

Nothing wrong with a wet parade, Thomas. :)

I just like stuff.

I am easily amused: "LOOK! SHINY!" And my day is made.

Be well and safe.

Lots of folks DO want to hurt you. I believe that is what Thomas is saying about Eprey. You are very fortunate if you have never had to learn that fact the hard way.

Be well and safe always.
