OT: Nepal

That's simple to understand. We don't like Kings anymore, so let's label him in with the Maoists. IT is the Maoists with the roadblocks that prevent aid and people seeking hospital care from getting it.

The BBC has it's head up its butt, or ours, or.....

But it is weird that everything's going to hell there and Bill is sick here. Don't know any relationship, but just weird. Enough to give you depression.

Maoist / Monarch it's probably not as much about ideology as poverty over there. They need to do like Holland and open up some coffee shops that sell those temple balls and the economy would jump start and everybody would stop fighting and start making money ;)

Rant mode on:

The BBC reporter was ignorant, as was the correspondant, something I've often observed is often the case with reporters. The Geneva Convention and the Hague Convention (which most people constantly confuse) applies to formally declared wars (between soverign nations). Local uprisings and "civil wars" do NOT fall under either of these conventions; they are LOCAL, NATIONAL events and governed by the prevailing law of the country.

But, you know, it's only BBC...who'd expect them to get it right.

Rant mode off...smoke for UB
