OT: Nepali Hostages- Time to send smoke

I heard on the news this morning that 12 Nepali hostages were executed by terrorists. There is plenty of coverage on online news if you want more info.
I just wanted to bring it up so we can send some smoke for the families and victims.

Thanks for the heads-up David. Smoke going up for their families and relations and for their passage.
 
Senseless and unnecessary killings. Nothing was gained from the murder of innocent lives.
 
Just heard about riots in Kathmandu because of this. The Nepalis accuse the agencies that brought their fellows into Iraq despite it being prohibited by the government. I also hear mosques in ´Nepal were looted because of the killings and so on. The seed of violence spreads :(

This is bad.

Why couldn't it be the French or the Germans? Now, that would be a lesson in Nature. Not that I want anyone to die, but some nations need to see their foriegn policy, or lack thereof, has little to do with being targeted by mad men.

Actually, since Germany has helped in Afganistan they are eligible for attack.

Perhaps if we set out a list of whom was eligable and whom wasn't would make it clearer for those terrorist chaps?
 
I'm afraid I've made two conflicting statements- one is there is some linkage between our actions and terrorists attacks, and the other that there is not. I believe Spain was targeted after the election and promise to pull troops out.

So there is some cause and effect, but I wouldn't count on it. The French were good buddies- but now because of the scarf ban has two hostages taken.

This senseless killing, bus bomb in Israel and two car bombs in Russia on Tuesday. Today 200 people, many of which are children, held hostage in a Russian school. Seems like there isn't enough smoke in the world for everything that is going on. :(




Edited to add that there is much that I didn't mention and even more that I forgot all together and/or simple do not know about yet. :(
 
If the terrorists had any logic in the first place, they wouldn't be terrorists. Although, I'm sure in their twisted heads their actions are logical.

They don't seem open to rationale, so the only thing left to do is to kill them whenever possible. Even Shakyamuni Buddha had a treatise on defending your nation.
 
I watched the video of the whole thing. Words fail me. The Ghurkas need to go take care of business.

I agree. There isn't enough smoke in the world. I'm sending some anyway.
 
Just talked to Kazi in Nepal and they have a curfew on trying to control the rioting.... and remember this is on top of the Maoist barricade....The people are trying to tear down the Moslem temple and things are very chaotic. It's a very sad time over there....and dangerous. Do keep them in your prayers.
