OT: New avatar (Actually, first avatar)

Well, what do you think? It's a cropped and resized pic a buddy took of me with my digicam while we were hiking in S. Korea. I'll have to make a gallery with those pics, some of them are pretty good IMHO. Hiking in the mountains there was the only good part of my tour, once we were above the smog of the city it was actually quite beautiful. Anyone else have some good stories behind their avatars?
 
Neat Avatar. I like it. :)

Mine's a picture a Canadian friend of mine drew. He said he was trying to capture the same image with different perspectives, and it didn't really come out the way he'd hoped.

He let me lift it for use as my forum picture when I'd nabbed the same avatar as somebody else on a different forum. Now I just leave it out of habit.

Nice avatar! I saw that in one of the other forums and wondered where it was taken. Great background! I love mountain areas though we only have some hills in my part of Kaintuck. :)

My avatar is all about the night and the Wolf spirit. (That crazy DUCK thinks it is a poodle. :barf: :D ) Sort of fits who I am. :)
 
And here I thought you just had a really old digicam Bruise. ;) I like yours Zal, it's certainly distinctive. I love the background on it too Semper Fi; I have a huge panorama shot I made by sewing about 6 images together using software that came with the camera that shows the entire city that my base was in. I was on top of one mountain and you can see the city with the other mountain on the other side of town in the background. It was always smoggy/cloudy there, but that day was fairly clear with just a few clouds, so it came out surprisingly well. Thahks for the comments guys, and keep the stories coming. I'd really like to know if there's a story behind yours Brendan.

My brain 1.01 overclocked and sorta unstable. Small crack on top. Superglue fix and use for another 50 years no problems. 19 cents plus shipping. Call or e-mail.

Your avatar looks like the cover of one of the Alias comic books by Brian Michael Bendis (Not the same Alias as the TV show). My avatar is my Kimber 1911 Custom Series I that is slightly customized. This is my first love, then my knives, then my wife.....:D
 
RR, when I bring up your photo page, the last 2 are IronMind pics. No panoramas. Nice pictures, though.
