Howdy everyone,
All of you need to get out and see "Open Range." It is an absolutely phenominal movie...this is the kind of movie that I had thought Kevin Costner would be bringing us after Dances with Wolves--you know, like well written and stuff. Well, he's certainly been hit and miss in the last few years, but this is his best role. Robert Duvall is awesome as always. It's a little slow to take off, but it actually paints some very interesting, multi-dimensional characters whom you actually feel like could exist. Oh, and without giving anything away, the shot that opens the gunfight at the end of the movie had to whole theater break out in applause...and sustained applause! You'll like the people, and won't cringe at the dialogue. Go see it.
