Today, I received a Pocket Holster made by our own Leatherface. He made it for my little FIE, Colt knock-off .25 semi auto pistol.

This holster is a knockout. It is a deep brown color with excellant tooling and finishing. Fits nice in the pockets of my blue jeans.

It was so nice I wanted to share it with you guys. My pictures don't do it justice.

It also answers that old question, is that a pistol in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?

Thanks for looking.

What is it about well cared for tools that make me think life is worth living?

Nice holster.

Another winner Dave. Still waiting for mine. Dang old donkey schlong. Jeez. LOL. And now you've got a kermabit rig too. Oh boy, hoity toity for sure. LOL. Great holster bro. Keep em coming.

Nice little rig!

A .25 is about the only pistol you can forget you're carrying...

though diminutive, far better than nothing.

Funny, the best guns to carry are the last ones you really want to shoot.

Steve,
Nice pics bro...Thanks and I am glad ya like it...now if I could just figure out how to make a Kydex sheath I would be happy!

Andy...You are on my list (I have been busy looking for a Hog Island or Isle de Maize Boa and havent gotten to it yet..AND building snake cages!GRR!) and HOW did ya know my former GF's pet nickname for me??:D

Terry...They ride fine...I tend to prefer my "Goblin" series for snug jeans but that is me...BTW I havent made a tooled Goblin in a while:o

Thanks Munk

Ad Astra...I feel what you are saying bro..

It fits both front and hip blue jean pockets very well. Haven't tried it in my dockers yet, but I'd say it will fit fine.

Here in Florida it gets so hot carrying a concealed weapon is challenging. I agree a .25 is better than nothing.

I'd like to see a thread on light weight short sleeve shirts that could be worn to cover a hip or shoulder holster in the heat. One that isn't covered in flowers and made to wear outside your pants. I can't seem to find the right style shirt for the job.

Steve,

I have concealed many things many times by wearing a regular shirt of your choice, only with a longer tail. You just have to play with the tail to determine how much to leave out so it covers the concealed area.

It works better than you would think.

Hi Terry:

I was thinking along the line of something shaped like a Hawian shirt with the squared off shirt tail, but not with flowers and stuff on them. Lightweight, too. Can't find the right one.

Hi Dave:

Would it be of any use if I did a step by step kydex sheath post? I'm no pro, but I could help you and others avoid some mistakes.

I didi not make my post very clear. Sorry about that.

What I meant was, wear a longer tail, AND tuck it in your pants. Only tuck it in around the concealment area with enough material in your pants to hold the shirt in.

The remainder of your shirt is bloused over the handgun. Easily accessible, yet hidden from everyone. When someone looks all they see is the shirt draped over your beltline.

Of course this carry has is downs just like any other, but it works well for hot summer days when you don't have a better way.

That makes sense.

Steve... this might work:

I've got a khakhi work shirt similar to what you are talking about. But I think it is just a little too lightweight. Anything you'd be trying to conceal would print easily.

Duluth Trading has some nice shirts designed for working in. The only problem is there aren't many squared off tails. I'm going to be buying some of the warm weather stuff once I get moved.

Nice holsters too! :D I might need to order something from you too Dave! I'm begining to think that my 640-1 might be a bit heavy to carry in my shorts pockets. I might need to pick up a SeeCamp .32 or a small Glock for my new EDC.

Very cool. I've got a baby Browning .25, but no ccw permit. Probably a good thing.

Nice work LF.

Hi Alan:

That looks pretty good. Buttons, square bottom. I'll look closer at these.

It looks as small as you would want something like that and yet looks easy to grab in a hurry . Is there any way we could see it with something in the picture to give it perspective maybe on top of a flat pack of 25 cigarettes ?

Hi Dave:

As soon as I get more kydex in I'll try to do a tutorial. God only knows how that will turn out. But, I will try.

Yeah, leather is special, but kydex does have its place.

Your leather work really reflects a lot of care and skill.
