Jill and I will have been together for 7 years on the 14th of this month, up's and down's aside I'm one lucky fella.

HI need to create a celebratory Khuk for very special occasions as I can't think of a better way to make it a memorable occasion. She suggested a watch - I suggested a UBE !!

LOL

:)

Congrats. I think the only way you are going to sneak a khuk by is to get his and hers models. I find it hard to go 7 weeks without buying a khuk before I get "the itch."

Ben

A month away from 12 years here.

Yeah. I'll ask for a khuk!

Good idea.
:D

7 years is a long time!! Congratulations.

Eric and I are working on 21, which is 3 sevens. Must be a good year as we communicate better than ever....and he let me in on HIKV:D :rolleyes:Ok, he also gave me a beautiful diamond, a ruby, and a huge tanzanite. Am I spoiled or what??? :D

Just remember that the keys to a great relationship is communication, commitement, compassion and compromise.;)

I haven't bought a khuk for 6 months - I used to but 2 a month

sniff; sniff

Brendan, just think when you have kids and they get old enough to have jobs, you can get a khuk from each of them on Fathers' Day and every holiday requiring gifts. If I had contracted HIKV earlier in my life I would have ten kids. :D

Ben

Brendan-- congrats. My wife and I just celebrated our ten year wedding anniversary yesterday.

mamav-- my wife loves tanzanite, but my wallet doesn't:) .

It'll be 25 years the 10th of June. Got her a new diamond; one she got when we married is nice, but figured what the hell, with she has has put up with outa me, she deserves a big 'un. Reckon she'd let me pick out my own "Anniversary" khukuri??

Brendan, don't believe Ben, all my kids took some of my khuks, you'll only lose 10 of those you already have.:grumpy:

Men tend to think in terms of "stuff", e.g., tools, machines, khuks, cars....

Women tend to think in terms of feelings...and significant objects that commemorate those feelings. Skip the khuk, go for something that has no practical use... jewelry with a truly introspective and tender look at the life you have together in a note with it.

Trust me on this one.

Thanks for well wishings, as always some good advice - where's Bruise
and "Walks with a Limp". They're going to take the mick at some point.

:D

7th year is not here yet. Better be careful. As any crapshooter knows you can either win or lose with a 7.

That's true Uncle Biil. But you can also get in as much trouble making a point.;)

Ben

For me, 18yrs together(14yrs married) and I'd say,

When you're mad at her; remember Mamav's "4 C's".
(Good one Mamav!:)-adopted into my repetoire of mantras.)

When she is mad at you(or not); Kis' insight is to be trusted.

Would only add "Know YOUR woman". ;)

As in, "I WOULD like" an anniversary Khuk -along with accompanying note.
Not the best(typical) example but I think the drift is there.

Congrats Brendan and many more! :)

My roomate went down the the Department of Motor Vehicles and changed the last name on her driver‘s license to match mine.
Then we borrowed some jewlery making equipment from a friend, melted down a silver spoon and cast ourselves matching rings.

We considered ourselves married.

That was about 35 years ago. We are still together, and we still wear the rings.

Hmmm...with a title like proving the 7 year itch theory all wrong, perhaps Brendan and wife are making serious efforts at having a nice new baby to celebrate.:D :p ;)
