On vacation this week and watching a lot of TV at night...it's one of my guilty pleasures being that I was a kid in the 70's-- so I'm a product of my environment / culture...NO REGRETS!
If you're lucky enough to have AHC channel available to you, you might have seen their reruns of "Myth Hunters" series....if you're not familiar with the program think about an updated, bit more historically legit version of Leonard Nimoy's <may he Rest In Peace> "In Search Of..."
Well, tonite they featured "Honjo Masamune: Heritage of the Samurai"....a hour long documentary type show primarily dealing with the mystery of what happened to the "finest Japanese sword ever made" the Honjo Masamune after Gen. Douglas MacArthur's order to disarm the Japanese after WWII even down to their Katanas, Wakazashis, Tantos, etc.
It WAS FASCINATING to me, and I bet most of the HOGS here would love it also...an hour well spent in front of the "boob tube"
The whole episode is on YouTube....in FRENCH
