im purchaseing a beadblasted black handled active duty from someone on the east coast (dc area) and got the total and the adress on saturday, so i thought i would send it off that day.

the post office was closed, so i went to mailboxes etc and asked what would be fastest. the guy said that nothing would go until monday, and that regular snail mail would get there in 3 days, so anything else would be a waste of money for a single money order.

what do you guys think?

will a single letter get from cali to d.c. in 3 days (sent monday) during thanksgiving week?

Express mail should get there over night (Chino, CA to DC is over night). Normal First Class mail should take about 3 to 5 days. I think if you mailed it out from a P.O. on Tuesday, there is a good chance that it will get to DC by Saturday.

I just remembered that some poeple have reported that there mail goes from DC to Cali and back in about 3 days. But others have reported really slow mail. (I work with the USPS, so I hear a lot of what goes on). Guess it depends on the exact areas involved.

Did you use priority mail? That's all I use now. Saves time and aggravation. 2/3 days and you can track it.

is being sent to bear deleware, from santa maria california....

im really kicking myself for listening to mailboxes etc again.... i really need to stop doing that. this is the first time ive ever sent anything through regular snail mail, ive always used iether usps priority or ups ground.

and this will probably be my last time sending it snail mail... ive never had a single problem with priority, and its always there in 4 days or less...

but.. im kind of screwed on this one, as its already been sent... not only that, but the guy said "if it comes back, we'll contact you so you have nothing to worry about"...

...

he didnt ask for my name number or adress....

the only adress on the envelope was for maibox's...

so ya. no more listening to them. ever...

The only 2 times I had problems with MO's (1 going, 1 coming) was with regular mail. Have used priority ever since. It's really worth the extra cost.

Hi,
I get mail from Ca. to N.H. some comes in a few days some takes more time.I got mail Monday from Ca. that was mailed on Sat. so that was pretty good. There really isn't any rule for it though but plan on 3-5 days. The overnight carriers are quick, but it cost's you extra.
Take Care,
Pete

im really kickin myself on this one... if i had waited, i could have sent it priority and with a postal money order, instead of a western union one... well, live and learn... if it doesnt get to the guy, ill be more then willing to resend it via insured and tracked priority.
