OT Roaring Plains Journey

Wow! What a beautiful place

It's places like that that recharge your batteries--and allow us to draw from when work/home/whatever is not going well.

After every thread like this I think "I need to get out and away..."

Man it looked like you got your exercise . Beautiful views . The food looked good also . Everrything but the rosemary garlic flatbread . I had a bad experience once where someone used tablespoons instead of teaspoons of rosemary . It was like eating a herb garden !! It looks like you know what you are doing and are prepared to have a great time .

You definitely had a better weekend than I did, HD. That looks like a great place.

It is indeed beautiful country. There's not much that I miss about the east coast but I do miss the hills. (And the Jewish delis.)

Satori,

If you have a backpack and have any more frequent flyer miles to burn you'll have to come with us sometime.

Cliff,

It was very windy and somewhat cold that day and the hunters blind had stone chairs in it that were warm

Not sure exactly how you get anything out of there if you kill it. The nearest road I know of is 6 miles away!

I always get homesick when I look at Hollow's pix.:(
You can take the Cherokee out of the hills but you can't take the hills out of the Cherokee.;) :D

Pretty country, HD. Thanks for sharing. Reminds me a lot of some areas out west.

The whole area is really unusual. High elevation (for here) but lots of water because of all the bogs on the mountain tops.
