Last night I got a small bottle of blue Pepsi and vanilla Coke for the Vodka at a jam session.

The bad news is that either one on its own tastes like a terrible combination of noxious chemicals to me.

The good news is that if you mix them together you get a bluish - green concoction that looks like Toilet Duck and doesn't taste all that bad...

Imagine Jennifer Lopez with her head through a hole in a fence, in a headlock while Ricky Martin shares a bottle of Toilet Duck with her.

I'd like to see that...

Years ago when I thought I was bullet proof, I used to drink Yellow Stone Whisky mixed in Sterling Beer. A real "Boiler Maker". :p

After snuffing out a few billion brain cells, I opt for black coffee now. :)

I found a new combo that works:

Captain Morgan spiced rum and Cherry Coke.

The cherry in the coke prevents scurvy while the rum keeps the ship's crew in good spirits. I propose the name 'fruity dog' for this drink, as in, "ARRRR, avast ye fruity dog!"

Back when I was still doing that thing I used to down a shot of RonRico 151 and then chase with a sip or two of icewater.

Incidentally, in Nevada there are two levels at which you are considered to be DUI.

If you are 21 or older, the level is .10.

If you are under legal age - 16 thru 20 - and caught driving with booze on your breath, you fail if the breathalyzer hits .02.

Somehow, that doesn't seem fair to me. There were already laws against underage drinking. They didn't need to make up a phony drunk driving charge.

Also, they've changed the laws in Nevada so that you don't have to drive the car an inch. If you have the keys in your posession, and are in or around the vehicle, they can bust you.

The Mrs. Grundys of America evidently now have a Political Action Committee to make sure you get caught even if you aren't doing anything wrong ( other than tick them off )! :barf:

And in Nevada they cut cards to see who wins the election. Did you read about them breaking the tie down at Goldfield for Esmeralda County Commissioner with a deck of cards? Both drew jacks but spade beat diamond. Dem. Gillum beat Rep. Honeycutt.

And I bet nobody in Nevada's going to spend the next four years whining over how the deck should have been shuffled and the cards recounted.

Wow, neat stories! People really don't have much common sense. Though I do like the idea of cutting cards in a tie. They should have done that in Florida!

Warning: Don't drink the spiced rum/cherry coke combination. I had one and the heartburn kept me up til 5 AM.

The things I do for Science...

I once mixed Vodka and root beer--tasted like an artificial chocolate something or other:D

When I was 16 or 17 my friend and I used to empty a soda can out and fill it with a little bit of EVERYTHING from my dad's liquor cab. for example: rum, gin, sloe gin, Jim Beam, Vodka, tequila...:barf: :barf: :barf: The truly amazing thing was we would split one of these, go back and make another and then wake up feeling FINE---if I tried that now I'd spend the night in the toilet and the next day too:barf: :D

Got a buddy in Alabama that mixes a large shot of bourbon in his glass of cold buttermilk. Personally, I'll stick with the home-brew...no preservatives, no nasty pop-tops to step on, can be used for liniment on sore muscles of both man & beast, eases the pain of ingrown toe nails, good snake bite remedy, good lubricant for your whet stones, & my filtering process through three day old socks gives it a wonderful bouquet & delicate after-taste.
