OT: Sick as a Dog!

I got the summertime flu. Never had it before, but it's kicking my ass. Fever, shivers, shakes, intestinal distress, nausea. :barf:
Man, I hope you guys don't get this. I stayed home from work yesterday. I couldn't even stay in my shop. All I did was sit on the couch and blow my nose and watch movies all day. I'm back at work, but only because my company has a piss-poor sicktime policy.

On a lighter note, my wife was just offered a new position at the hospital with like $15k raise. All it means to me is one step closer to fulltime knifemaker status. :D

Anything cool happening with you guys?
 
Go Cough and sneeze on the boss and all your coworkers. maybe when everybody gets sick they will reconsider their sick policy. :)

That's great about your wife's raise. Hell I'd quit if my wife would get a job that payed 15K :0.

I've been pretty lucky. I've been sick maybe twice in my life. But my body is falling apart though.

If it means I don't have to punch a clock anymore? HELLS YES, BROTHER! I'm not in the least bit upset she makes more than me, although some folks think I should be. You see, it would go like this. I'd stay home and make knives and she'd go work. I would probably take care of way more things at home than I do currently, but not enough to lose my testicles. She'll still do cleaning, laundry and half the cooking. I can take care of the house and garden, and all the BBQing! :D

Right now I'm supporting Two wives. I would not mind one bit if it were the other way around. :)

Well if mine gets real uppity with this new job, I'll give her the boot and take one of yours off yer hands, okay pal? :D

Sorry to hear about your flu. That always sucks. :(

My Wife also makes more than I do, and it bothers me...NOT! ;) :)
 
The only thing that bothers me about my wife making more than I is...





that it's not WAY more! :D
 
My wife is a Registered Nurse, but she only works part time (2-3 days/week).
I keep telling her that if she'd go to work full time, I'd be delighted to quit my job and be a "kept man"....I'd just stay home, play in the shop, and be her 'boy-toy' at her beckon-call. :D :D :D I could handle that No Problem.
