Just in case you are having a rough day, here is a stress management technique recommended in all of the latest psychological texts. The funny thing is that it
really works.

1. Picture yourself near a stream.

2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air.

3. No one but you knows your secret place.

4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called The world.

5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

6. The water is crystal clear.

7. You can easily make out the face of the person you are holding underwater. ;)

8. See. You're smiling already! :D :) :D

LMAO!

At first I thought good ol' Wild Rose had turned into some sorta commie, pink-o, new age, fruit cake.

But I see otherwise.

Thanks for the stress relief - well timed post.

My medical work is now 100% in the psychiatric field. From teaching it for a living, I can tell you that the "guided imagery" works, including #7 !!! You would not believe how many people tell me that thats ACTUALLY what they're thinking of when they're doing that exercise !

ONe of my little posters I had on my office wall was -

"Stress is the mind fighting the body's urge to beat the living cr@p out of someone who sorely deserves it." :barf: :p :D

A number of my colleagues thought it was worrying (until they found out I was also a knifemaker), but my therapy patients thought it was great - a good ice-breaker. (Especially for the angry, disenchanted, grumpy young men.) Jason.

I love it, absolutely beautiful. Peaceful, soft and ever so rightious.
Thanks for sharing!!

Just the idea of being stuck there with no fishing pole stressed me out. Now I'm depressed.

Glad ya'll appreciated the sentiment anyway!

Sando not sure about the commie pinko part but ther are LOTS of the "new age, fruit cake" types in Durango and my wife and I had to spend a good part of our day yesterday in town with them - Durango has more Hummers & Land Rover types on the road than any place I've ever been!

When I got home the above was in my email in box - we had also been without phone service for 16 hours so by then my inbox had a bunch of crapola that had to waded through. So my own attitude was pretty much in tune with the above.

Jason I loved your wall hanging and when one really thinks about it that line is pretty close to the truth!

I can see my Ex's face , with my money stuffed in her mouth. Gurgle......gurgle........gurg.....g........ahhhh!
