OT: test

I host mine remotely, then just use the img, /img tags within [] to link to them.

Picture a caveman staring into a fire, and that's pretty much same deal as me sitting in front of a computer. No worries, I was able to track down Dan'l Koster's old thread/tutorial on how to post pics, so I'll be back in black soon as I can get a photo editing program loaded. My pics are way too big, gotta shrink 'em down.

:D :p

If you have "Paint" on your Windows XP it allows you to do basic editing stuff such as resizing images.

Slowly but surely ;)

Yup, it's a Kismet Practical Hunter/"sarge" that a fellow forumite squared me away with in a trade (thanks again Scot). Sweet little knife, tinkered with it only minimally, straightened the guard a bit to make more room, and trued up the bevels with an EZ-Lap diamond hone. Since the knife has a distinctively "rustic/old timey" flavor to it, I figured it needed a sheath to match, so I cut one out of good cowhide and laced it up with a rawhide thong. The old fashioned "safety tie" is a strip of soft elkhide.

Kudos again on this knife Kis, it's a good'n

I like it Sarge...I'm gonna have to make one up for mine!

BTW, I got drafted into the Army originally but then learned to read ;) and spent another 17 1/2 years in the AF. I am currently a contractor on base at WPAFB...

753X0 back when we wore Red Hats...applied my Army skills to the AF.

Hmmm, Wright Patterson, ain't that where we store alien remains and hunks of UFOs in secret underground bunkers? Just teasin', remembered reading some sketchy claims made by conspiracy theorists to that effect.

17 1/2 years as a blue suiter, and prior Army to boot? Don't have to tell you why I try and steer youngsters interested in a military career toward the Air Force. ;)

We had to move the aliens out...got too many Generals here at HQ that *need* office space. ;)

me not like thog. thog first lawyer. poke lawyer with sharp pointy thing please.

Nicely done, Sarge.

I made a buckskin dangle sheath for mine. Drilled the heavy leather and used a small carabiner to clip it to a belt loop, or my belt if necessary, then stick the sheath itself in my back pocket.

If your hand isn't too big for it, you may find it a very practical tool.

I hope so.

It is really nice to have you back.

By the seven hairs of Bruise, that's a nice sheath. I've got some more ideas now. I'll need to live to 100 to finish half the projects I'm working on but I suppose that that isn't a bad thing.
