Deb is has already been cooking for two days. I usually put on 10 lbs between Thanksgiving day and the new year with her great food.

I have a lot to be thankfull for.

My shoulder has healed up pretty good.

I'm still above the dirt.

I've had the opportunity to meet few forumites at various knife related activities.

I've gotten better looking :)

I'm still a dreamer.

What's your Thanksgiving day plans ?

As usual we'll be going to my mother-in-laws for Thanksgiving. I have alot to be thankful for also.
I still can stand on my own two feet :D
I'm a knifemaker who loves what I'm doing
Still have a good job in these hard times
Wonderful wife and kids
Good friends here and on the outside
Lots of guns and knives to play with :D
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Hope you have a great day
Scott

AND YOU GUYS

I plan to head to my moms for lunch then head to my wifes side of the family. No knife work that day but Friday I'll get in the shop some.

Headin' fer Maine. We are packing up the turkey and heading for my folks house. They are too old to travel now, so we are taking the dinner to them. I'll sit and drink whisky with my Dad and my son while the women prepare the food.

I feel very thankfull as I yet have no achs or pains and my fingers are as flexable as when I was young.

Best thing though is my Mother (92) is still with us -- she lives with my Sister now -- so my kids and 6 grandkids will all get together and have a great day with her.

This year will be a little easier traveling here in the north -- NO SNOW YET :D

Well put Pete.
My folks are still well also. In fact, they may be in better shape than I am.
My Wifes parents are also alive and fairly healthy......I suppose I'm thankful for that too.

As a matter of fact, I got the annual "Yoo betta come to Thanksgiving Dinna" call last night...after I had gone to bed (as usual). It's been 15 years since I went to their house for dinner and I still get the demand invitations. :(

Anyway...I'm not broke, may family's fine, I can still ignore all the little hurts and pains. I still hate doctors and am convinced they kill more people that cure, the country is still free enough that I can make fun of our leaders from the local level to the President.

So all is good for now (other than a meeting I have with the Navy today). and my wife has her usual big blow out dinner cooking for tomorrow.

Day after tomorrow is the start of the Christmas Season. That's a tough time for me. I have a true love/hate relationship with Christmas!

Going to my cousin's house. All the regular fixins.

I'm thankful that my family is healthy and I'm able to provide for them. I only wish I liked my job, oh well, you can't have everything.

I'm also happy that I found this forum and went on a knife buying spree, although I'm not sure that my wife is that thankful about that part of it!

I wanna see the before and after pics on this one!! :) :p :) :p

God has been doing for me what I copuldn't do for myself for a number of years now.
Amen
Thankyou Lord
I have 4 dinners to got too, I 've been in training for the last two weeks. :D :D :D

I'm going to my grandparents house for the big family get together. There will be over 20 people there for dinner and enough food to make every single one of them sick. Its awesome :D

Then Friday I get to go to work, which isn't really bad cuase they haven't had anything for me to do in awhile and tuition is going to be due in a couple weeks (NOT thankful for that part! )

I've got a lot to be thankful for as well. Family, friends, a barn full of horses and a shop with a couple tools in it. Some family members have had some real serious health problems in the last year so its really a blessing for them to be here and healthy for the holidays.

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody :)

Thanksgiving at Nancy's folks.... they still won't let us cook dinner, Dad cooks a "shortcut meal" that sucks bad, and we all eat it with great joy because they're still around to share it with us. :) Nanc will cook a fullblown spread Saturday.

I made it through another year without getting a lot worse, my wife has been home with me each and every day. I still find fun in Life. I am Blessed.

Though I don't agree with a lot of what's going on, I live in the great nation that spawned this special day for us to take pause and realize just how good we've got it.

Thank you, God, and thank you, my country. God Bless America. And God Bless all of you and yours!!

None of my brother-in-laws are speaking to me. What more could a man want for the holiday season!!! We're having our youngest son and his family for dinner. Our oldest son, he's been in the Coast Guard for twenty two years, won't be able to make it this year. We'll see our oldest son for the Christmas Holidays. This is my first Thanksgiving since I was diagnosed with diabetes and I'll have to use some common sense, for a change. Have a good Thanksgiving everybody.

Tess and Danny just left for the in-laws for Thanksgiving and a couple days visit. I'm staying in the shop to work on some orders and a toast cutter, what more could a guy ask for.

I'm thankful my beautiful wife and a great son and also for all my knife making/collecting friends. Have a great holiday!

I am thankful that I have the freedom to be able to celebrate with my family in any way I choose.

I am thankful that I have the freedom to be able to communicate on this forum with some new friends.

I am thankful for so much, but mostly, I am thankful to be an American............

God bless America and our Troops.

Robert

My day job has been a real bear lately, enough to get me considering a major life change. I've been suffering from a bad attitude in general as long days at work have made made me generally grumpy, or more so than usual. Thanksgiving has given me a good reason to reflect on what's really important. A job's a job and as much as mine's sucked lately, it's still just a job. I'm thankful for a lot. I've got it pretty good:

my folks are still in good health

my step son's not in the presian gulf anymore

my wife and I both have a paycheck coming and a positive cash flow and our health

I have some great friends

Our cars run good

We own more of our home than the bank does

I have an awesome dog and our collection of pets is in general good health

I have a great collection of guns, knives stereo gear and all sorts of cool stuff including my very own machine shop!

It's sunny and about 70 outside and the bird's cookin on the BBQ with a feast to commence in a couple hours

I've got you guys to answer all my dumb knife making questions

Lots to be thankful for.

John
