OT: The Jump Master General Is Dead

Evel Knievel died today after a long illness. Truly an American legend. My dad saw him a few times, once in AZ and once at the old Spectrum in Philly. He still talks of those jumps every once in a while and often remarks of Evel's "ragdoll" impression when he failed the first Ceasar's Fountain jump attempt. I hope his battles with Kanye didn't do him in. That would be very sad Long live EVEL!

Thanks for the post, Hog Brother.

It's not sad to hear that Evel has moved on down the track.

He made far, far more of himself than anyone would ever have expected. Along the way, he got busted up pretty bad and saw some very hard times.

It's time he had his final reward. And now he's not hurting any more.
