OT-The knives of columbine-Do they tell us anything

Interesting.

As khukurisw become more well-known in the West we should expect that someday one will be misused in a horrible crime.

I pray not but I expect so. It happens in lands where they are familiar tools.

More folks get stabbed every year with common kitchen knives than anything else. Reckon it's because there's always one laying around close to hand and folks are familiar with them. Bad thing about these el cheapo "pot metal" knives that populate most gun shows and flea markets is they'll stick you just as deep and cut you just as bad as their more expensive counterparts. The best gun/knife control there ever was amounts to nothing more than raising our children right. Show me a disinterested, lackadaisical, parent, and I'll show you a kid headed for trouble.

Sarge

What do they tell us? That they had crappy taste in knives.(or a small budget)

Perhaps if their parents had fostered an interest in knife collecting they would have been glued to the screen waiting on the next Uncle Bill Blem or the newest Microtech to come out and had a reason to live.:)

Rad - the rune of movement and travel. They sure did travel!

Not sure if this is a rune, or a roughly carved "R."

Not sure why they would use this rune, other than they thought it was a cool occult thing to do or something.

Rune or R??

The first thing I thought of that somebody, perhaps a previous ownder cratched an initial on it. But then I watched part of one of the "Toy Story" movies last night were the kid wrote his name on all of his toys.

The fact that they are "cheap junk" by todays standards misses the point, I think. How would the dagger compare to a similar implement from the Bronze Age?

In my email box:

This is an authentic psychological test. It is a story
about a girl. While at the funeral of her mother, she
met a man whom she did not know. She thought he was
amazing, her dream guy, and she fell in love with him
but never asked for his number and could not find him
after the funeral.

A few days later the girl killed her sister.

Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?

Give this some thought before you scroll down.

Answer: She was hoping that the guy would appear at
the sister's funeral.

If you answered this correctly, you think like a
psychopath. This was a test a famous American
psychologist used to test if one has the same
mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers
took this test and answered it correctly.

If you didn't answer correctly - good for you.

If you got the answer correct, please let me know so I
can take you off my e-mail list...... unless that will
tick you off, then--------- I'll just be extra nice to
you from now on!

I've spent time with those king of people, and was surprised the answer didn't jump to mind.

I guess I've left the ability to think that way behind, thank God, and I don't particularly want it back unless I need it to anticipate and prevent a threat to me and mine.

Meanwhile I'll practice on getting my gun out and firing before they have a chance to see the gun and give up. Otherwise they'll end up back out on the street eventually.

Speaking about defense and protection, I hear these are good tools.
