Hello all;
Let me wish you a belated Merry Christmas. For most of this month I've been dealing with things which were somewhat unpleasant such as a burglary in my mother-in-law's home, illness from flu and so on, right up to a day or so before Christmas. Self-employed, in order to cope I was forced to postpone work that would have helped financially and would have made possible a more lavish celebration.
But troubles withal, we are a blessed little family and had a wonderful Christmas together, one which didn't come in a box or bottle, one which came from the heart. Over and over we have learned how important it is to choose happiness above averice, to give in preference to taking, to find security in our faith and to find contentment in the warm hug of someone beloved. Surely, certainly, this was worth whatever small nuisances we went through! So, whether your faith celebrates Christmas or not, I hope you too find yourself enjoying the same treasures we discovered in our household.
Here is an interesting article I found tonight which reminded me of the many times forumites have supported each other through prayer. If you would, consider lifting at least one other forumite before the Almighty tonight, just to bring peace and encouragement to someone you think could use it. Remember, even if it isn't your faith, this is a fine time of year to reinforce the brotherhood of Man and bring (even) just a little joy to those you know.
