Hey all -

Lone Wolf Dist's made me this custom slide coverplate. Under $25 bucks....2 minute install.

I know some AR's have the ESEE logo...Lone Wolf says they can make ANYTHING, all they need is an image...so an ESEE logo would be easy.... :) After a couple emails...we got what I wanted all figured out:

also swapped out the CT Laserguard for the Laserlyte system...trying it out. Like the fact holster options are endless with new system vs 2 or 3 with Laserguard.

I think this is the Knights Templar Glock. Great for crusades!

In all seriousness, would that not be distracting under stressful or lowlight conditions?

If those two boobs on either side of his rear sight aren't going to distract him I doubt the cross will. And anyway, he's got a laser so you'd never see that while shooting from the hip. :)

i have one that came on the last G19 i bought. don't know the brand.

fortunately the oriiginal woner had the original part in the box... because the aftermarket plate was SHINY and if you have light behind you it's really bad.

i can't stand the white outline or white rings around the tritium dots, or white dots on the rear sight, don't want anything that will distract me from the front sight.

sooo, i swapped it out and have no use for it.

now, it's possible to get aluminum parts with a matte finish, but i'll stick with the stock part... no matter how cool an ESEE or Punisher skull would be i don't want it there.

curious about the rear sight in the pic.

Hi all. finally ran out of candy! whew!

ok. The sight in the pic is from Laserlyte. one side is for batts...one side is the laser. The left side is the activation button. On/Strobe/Off...in that order.

Don't have to activate to shoot - thought I'd like that.
Then there's the biggie - the fact ANY holster will work with it.

I'm a lefty and I think I've been PRETTY PATIENT waiting on Crimson Trace and other manufacturers to make more holsters for the Laserguard (CT said in an email to me they sell more Laserguards 3 to 1 over the older grip mounted styles). I've had that Laserguard since they came out with it. I own 4 other CT lasers and was on a waiting list for it when it came out. So I've certainly been patient!

Every defensive handgun I own has a laser. period. each person makes their own call...but any close call I ever came close to having was at night.

It's not totally centered in the pic - good catch! I actually am going to shoot it tommorrow (Monday) at the range...taking the included wrenches...gonna get it all fixed up. :)

The Coverplate: Yeah, it may end up being distracting...I really don't know. I'm not much for shiny things AT ALL, as you all know full well...but I couldn't resist the Templar Cross. Great Call, Jeff!!!!

I told Lone Wolf what I was looking for...they had me something made up in 10 minutes flat.

Combined....both are experiements...the Laserlyte is $99... 1/3 the cost of the CT (about)...and the $25 for the coverplate...I just couldn't resist.

I have a plaque in my office that ends with "Or I shall smite thee with my powerful, swift Glock." lol! If it's a dud in useage...I'll take it off.

Both products fit ANY Glock...so I'd guess I could sell them very quickly if I end up wanting to. Range time tommorrow will tell.

sorry- one more answer I think I missed...the ENTIRE rear sight assembly comes out (the stock one) and you slide in the Laserlyte set up - it's all one piece. So that's why it looks different.

A cross on a weapon always seemed funny to me but what do I know, I'm not Christian.

I've always had the opinion that the Good Lord didn't put me on this earth to die on my knees in a parking lot over the money I do or don't have in my wallet. He didn't bless me with family to stand there defenseless and watch them be murdered, raped, kidknapped, etc. I'd prefer to make that journey on my own terms, not on the whims of some junkie who needs money for a fix.

Ok, let's not go down the road of this becoming a locked thread.

On second thought, I locked it. No sense in getting into a debate over this.
